Which is the better voice actress for Asuka?
| The highly controversial question for debate dealing with this: Which is the better voice actress for Asuka? Yuko Miyamura (The original VA) or Tiffany Grant (English Dub)? |

| I don't watch dubs, so my opinion is pretty obvious: Yuko Miyamura! I always thought her voice suited Asuka perfectly. Though I believe I heard a breif clip of Asuka's dub voice in an AMV once, and to be honest I didn't like it. But then again, I'm used to the Japanese voice and don't like dubs, so I'm obviously biased...^^; |

| When I first watched NGE, it was on [Adult Swim], so it was with the dub. And the Grant's dub didn't bother, probably because it was the second anime I ever watched. But when I actually bought the dvd box set, I was able to hear how badly it was, even for a dub. ADV did a piss job with it. Then I went with subs. So Miyamura all the way. xD The only good dub I've yet to see has been for FMA, and even then I hear some bad parts. |

| Voted for Yuko Miyamura of course. She is clearly a part of my addiction for Asuka, hehe. I never heard the english dub unfortunately... but I'm sure it is better than the french one (simply awful). There were a little debate in France long time ago about it. |

| I watched the dub first. I quite like both of her voice actresses. Both do a great job of portraying her arrogant yet superb self. As for this poll, there should be a both option :P |

| The choice is between someone who was a talented VA and actually sounded like a teenager, Yuko Miyamura. And someone who made Asuka sound like she was in her twenties, always yelling, couldn't carry an emotional scene if her life depended on it, and created an ill stereotype of Asuka to English speaking audiences that still plagues the Eva fandom today, Grant. Not much of a competition if you ask me. Yuko Miyamura by a very long ways. |
| I never watched the english dub, i watched it in the order of chinese > japanese (eng sub) . I hated the chinese dub so ... |

| Tiffany Grant by far for me.<333 Tiffany Grant is an amazing voice actor and portrays her perfectly, plus did the German parts WAY better, imo. |

| The German parts account for less than .1% of Asuka's total dialog. So who did better means nothing to me. I looked at the overall job for Asuka when I decided Grant did a lousy job. She just didn't carry any of the emotional scenes. She played those scenes with the same voice she did all the others. Miyamura on the other hand was especially good when it came to Asuka breaking down. The sad spin she put on Asuka's voice during the memory of her Mother and when Asuka was going suicidal were perfect. And the screaming during the Harpy fight was much better too. Lot's of pain and anger in Miyamura's voice where Grant did the same kind of yelling she did for the Baka! scenes. |
| Personally I think that Grant did a better job because she sounded bitchier, and asuka may be awesome but shes definitely a bitch |

| Yuko ofc. I hate dubs, and I love Miyamura's voice, so hmm... choice is obvious. |

| Yuko Miyamura is WAY better than Grant. The only thing Grant did better, was the German, and since there's only like, 2 scenes where Asuka speaks German, it's most definitely not enough to beat Miyamura, especially with her "ANTA BAKA?!" |
