Multicultural nation if not done right, can lead to all of those things.If not done right, different societies or races, with different ideals/religions will always clash. People taking revenge on other people, racial conflicts - its all reality - look at what happens in USA, first we were beating up black people, now every muslim is target too? Unless people throw away the idea of nationality=stereotype=event=character=whatever_else, multicultural nations just won't work. The Bible isn't a very good standard for political correctness in the first place. But anyways, when various races first come together, there is violence. It's kind of what always happens, so I'm not sure how having that as the premise of the story is the least bit ignorant. It shows decent recognition of the way the world works. Also note: the main character is an immigrant's child, and is probably of mixed race. Not exactly the ideal protagonist for a fascist story. |
