Located in one of the 'greener' districts of Clockwork City. It is an exclusive piece of land well maintained by old family magic.

Liathiel Celiondim was in the common study, the library and play room made for the children of the houehold, her father had his own private study and office. She sat at the cushoned window seat that overlooked the courtyard, with a book in her lap though her eyes were not the pages but at the birds singing their songs and the house sevants running around outside. She also caught a glimpse of a pair of eyes, but when she took a second look they were gone. She wondered for only a few moments as she her name was called by her youngest brother.

"Lia... my toy broke..." Dellorn, he was 5 years old and his monkey doll toy was his favorite. Right now a tearful Del held out that same toy out to her, the arm was torn off.

"How did this happen?" she set the book aside and gingerly took the monkey doll and the arm, carefull not to let any more stuffing fall out.

"I was playing knights and it was moni's turn to be the knight so I was the horsie and his arm got caught on a something and it ripped and I tried to put it back and then the stuffing started coming out and and and..." Del started hicupping upset.

"Alright, alright Dellorn, just breathe for me and everything will be alright." Liathiel stood up with the toy in hand, she opened one of the cupboards taking out a needle and thread. Sitting back down she began sewing the monkey up. While she was sewing, she began to sing.

"With a sigh... you turn away... with a deepening heart... no more words to say. You will find... that the world has changed... forever..."
"And the trees are turning from green to gold.... and the sun is now fading... I wish I could.. hold.. you.. closer..."

She finished sewing back on the arm to the monkey doll and handed it back to Del.

"Thank you!" he shouted, giving her a quick hug before running out the door of the study to resume activities.

Liathiel resumed looking outside... and also her song.

Roa looked upon the wall of the large mansion, thats a lot of wealth to have such a high wall. He scouted the edge of the property and waited til nightfall to scale the wall. Landing in the garden with a light thud Roa quickly moved into the shadows, tiping his hat so his eyes don't shine in the fading light. Avoiding a night guard he quickly began to climb up a side of the mansion using vines that covered part of the wall. He opened a small window and slipped inside what looked like a library, it was dark and had many other windows, including a large one. money... money... where would they put you..? he thought as he looked at his first surroundings of the inside.

((I don't know what the inside looked like so I just picked a library, that alright?))

(Its fine.)

Liathiel had fallen asleep in the study, only stirring when she heard the slight creak of a window opening. At first she was confused at why is was so dark but then realized that it was night-time. She tiredly looked around but could not see anything out of the ordinary, she yawned and closed her eyes. She just missed seeing an elfkin slip through the open window and into the room.

Roa spotted the sleeping girl and was careful not to disturb her as he moved about the room. He found the door, carefully opening it and making sure there was no one in the hallway before walking out.

There would not be servants or guards in this part of the mansion tonight for there was an important party and some of the more wealthier nobles were in attendance. If it had been any other day, the theif might not have been so lucky with even getting into the mansion. Right now the servants were waiting on the party goers and the guards were guarding the enterance, the guest's means of transportation and the guest room where they put their hand purses, coats and jackets. Music could be heard echoing throughout the halls but much less in this part of the mansion since it was farther away.

Liathiel was supposed to attend but just an hour before they found her deeply sleeping in the study and decided to leave her be.

Roa knew about the party, he knew they would be so busy trying to protect their guests that owners own wealth would be vulnerable. He came upon a large room and at the end of the room was a necklace, the emerald stones in a tear shaped design around the neck with a bright blue stone in the middle. Perfect, it would fetch a good price on the market he was referring to the black market. He carefully lifted the glass, no alarm, and reached out his hand to snatch the necklace.

(heheheh)

It was then the alarm sounded, a red light began to flash.

In another part of the mansion, at the party a guard runs in and half shouts to Lord Celiondim.
Guard: "Someone is trying to take the necklace of Azure!"

Lord Celiondim whispers, "Azuriel..." the name of his wife who died in childbirth 5 years ago.

The alarm wakes Liathiel from her slumber, "What is going on?!" as she jumps up from her resting place.

"Shit!" curses Roa takes the necklace anyways and runs. He can hear the clinking of guards rushing from the other side of the mansion, knowing the halls better than he does. He retraces his step, quickly reaching his enterance point to find the girl awake.

Roa curses again, he did not bother to give the girl an explanation or any notice as he does not have much time before he is to be tracked and trapped to this room. Looking out the window of the largest room he sees a saving grace, an old wire that on festival nights lanturns would be strung to light the courtyard, which seemed to end at an old willow tree outside the property. Roa did not care what it was used for, it was his ticket out of there. He broke the window, which made a loud crash, now everyone knows his location. Putting the necklace into his pouch, he ripped a piece of his shirt and slung it over the wire and jumped.

Liathiel gasped when the stranger barged in, she moved away from him too shocked to speak. She cringed as he broke the glass window, but before he put his loot away she caught a glimpse of her mother's necklace, "Hey!" right as he jumped, she grabbed a hold of his waist and did not let go.

As Roa ziplined across the courtyard, he noticed a weight on him. Looking down, it was the girl holding on to his waist. "Let go!" he whispered loudly.

"No! Give back mother's necklace!" she shouted. She squeezed harder to hold on tightly, even if he struggles she was not going to go down.

Roa did struggle but he could not shake the girl. He finally came to the end of the line at the willow tree and cut the rope with his knife. He could hear shouts still inside the mansion, they had not found him yet. He ran away from the compound.

The landing made her let go, she rolled on the ground and when she regained her footing the man was already on the run. She ran after him, he was not going to get away with her mother's necklace.

Inside, Lord Celiondim was sitting, being consoled by guests, with his hand to his head. The head guard came up to him and the lord asked, "Well?"

Guard: "Um... We could not retrieve the stolen necklace."

Lord Celiondim hung his head in grief, "Not only was that one of the last cherished pieces of my wife, it has power that should not be tampered with..."

Guard: "There is more, Milord..."

"More?" He looked up at the head guard with a look that asked what more could there possibly be??

Guard: "Milord... the housemaids report that your children are asleep... except your daughter is missing from her bed."

"Search the monor!!" His heart nearly stopped as he stood up, he would die if anything happened to any of his children for they were his true treasure and his heart.
