| My recs would be: Higurashi (since you like Elfen Lied, though Higurashi isn't quite as actiony) for some old classes: Cowboy Bebop Trigun Outlaw Star Giant Robo newer stuff: Baccano Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann Start with these, they should give you a good action anime foundation. If you only watch legally, they're all on DVD (Giant Robo would probably be the cheapest, you can find GR for $10-$15 almost anywhere online brand new) |
| Let me suggest you to pick up FMA again, it's indeed a good anime and a lot action-packed later on. Seconding Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star and TTGL. Claymore might work too. Some said watch the anime up to episode 18, give or take, and pick up the manga from there. |
