Hoo, boy there're a lot of these. Just goes to show how much ground HnI covers. I excluded minor fights like Miyata vs. Medngern Dachboy, Ippo vs. Yi, and Takamura's Japan champion matches. Let me know if I missed any big ones.

My pick is uneqivocally Taka v Hawk, with a distant second going to Aoki v Imae and third going to Date v Martinez.

Takamura vs Hawk was just epic.

I felt like I was reading a chapter of Berserk near the end of that fight. What a brawl.

Honorable mentions to Ippo vs Sendo and Mashiba vs Sawamura (another great brawl)

You leave out minor fights yet include puker Geromichi? Lol, he's a welterweight isn't he? What in blazes is he doing in Featherweight? Gah... Ssn2, I'm begging you, hurry up and get all the episodes out. I don't want to spoil it by locating an english copy reading ahead in the manga.

I seriously think they should release the entire season the first day. That way those with more time on their hands or are more interested can watch the whole thing from the get go. Those who want to watch one episode per week would still be able to after all...

Belt fights ssn 1, hands down sendo vs ippo at karikuan(something like that) hall. Never a doubt in my mind, they went out of their way to make that the peoples fight. Most times it's a first person view and your inside ippo's head. However they took a step back into third person and made a point of it in that fight. Besides the background music was beautifully timed and rendered. They summed up the entire first season, ippos goals, dreams, and everything in that one fight. What is it to be strong?

Also if the takamura hawk fight seriously looks like a Berserk throwback... It might come a close second, maybe...

Ippo vs Sendo - it was the best. The whole time, I was like: "OMG, this is beyond epic! Give me more!"
For me, Takamura vs Hawk was too creepy to be considered as the most awesome fight, but it was a great fight. It's my second favorite.
