| I take it that you've been watching the VIZ dub as it airs weekly on Toonami. Me too! It's my understanding that Toonami will only be airing Dragon Ball Z Kai marathons the rest of 2024, so don't expect Sailor Moon R to be airing on the channel anytime soon. Rumor has it that Toonami is waiting until the budget resets in 2025 to pay for the rights to Sailor Moon R, so at best it would be back in January. There's always a chance they decide to spend that money elsewhere, but people claiming to be in the know act as if Sailor Moon is pulling the best ratings on the block, so it's unlikely they abandon it at this point. If you don't mind reading subtitles, all 200 episodes are available on the VIZ YouTube channel. Given that the VIZ dub you've been watching is meant to be as faithful to the source as possible, it isn't really all that different to watch the sub while you wait. |

You Mean Toonami Rewind?
| @Starfan13 I'm just now seeing this a month later, but yes, I was referring to Toonami Rewind. In the time since I posted this, that entire block has died, so clearly it won't be coming back there lol. I did see that Sailor Moon will begin airing on the Saturday night Toonami block on January 25th, but as of now it appears they are starting over with Episode 1. At one episode per week it's going to take nearly a year to get back to R, so we'll have to wait and see whether they even get the rights to it by then. |
