I don't even know if anyone will watch this message but what do you think? Unlike One Piece which is in its final arc and is still getting more appreciation for its production quality, remake and exciting events, as for us the manga is back Once a year with boring events without any progress in the story, not to mention the garbage production that the anime is going through. As for the movies, I don't know if their worlds intersected with the Dragon Ball worlds.

The worst part is that I like the trash they feed us but still I want to see the anime accelerate the plot a little

detective conan has become the new Lupin III. It's basically culture in Japan now and you most likely won't see the end of it for a long time. Gosho himself had stated that DC wasn't supposed to be long at all. Fans wanted more of the daily cases and he responded to them. Considering the success it had over the years it wouldn't be s stretch to say that the publishing company is trying to prolong this series as long as possible. Even if after DC manga ends, don't be surprised if you see a new movie every year. DC is becoming what Tom & Jerry is in the west.

you're sadly right. As said above, the production company is unlikely to let the anime end anytime soon, but I really like some progression in the story, can't see why we can finish the main story, and then keep the show going with spin offs and stuff. The movies have good production values and they are very successful.

@MeVike At least they should care about the production or even story aspects of the filler episodes since most of the episodes have become just Filler.

@AhmedJafar1 The problem with the movies is that they are bad in terms of storytelling, and they have become more like Marvel movies.

True I was and am a diehard fan of dc but as of now it doesn't give the kick it use to give before . Now it becomes apparent what is a filler episode and a canon one by its poor quality. Dc currently needs a great push in the story now.

I don't bother with the filler episodes, and just wait for the canon episodes, as I still enjoy those. There are still manga cases I really enjoyed that hasn't been animated, and i'm excited for those. As for the movies, they are very hit or miss imo, my favourite is movie 6, and honestly 26 was really enjoyable for me.

I mean, I can't deny that it should've ended a long time ago. Unfortunately, it's in the top 3 most viewed anime in Japan with Sazae-san and I don't remember which one, so it's unlikely that it will.

Personally, I still watch it and I do find positive things to say about it most of the time (they especially step it up for canon cases). I do hope it ends this decade so that we can maybe get a new adaptation without filler episodes and with consistent animation one day in the not too distant future. A guy can dream.

you can't do much about production company. it's a trash company. As for the filler, just skip them.

a remake with only canon episodes and have production value, would be amazing. Hopefully some big publishing company presents that sort of project after the story has ended. I'm pretty sure Japan viewers would love the idea as DC is huge in Japan.

Animation has degraded a lot but the less number of canon cases per year doesn't mean it's garbage. As a manga reader, I still value it highly. It's just that author takes time to draw manga as he works at his own pace and not hellishly like other mangaka to avoid complications. Recently Oda's health concerns made rounds social media as well. As for the movies, they are not connected to story in any way, they are for entertainment only.

In Japan Detective Conan has become a familial anime where many japanese viewers don't even know about the main story. That's why Detective Conan is still one of the few animes who works weekly instead of seasonal.
It's like if you watch NCIS every weeks (or whatever show you like that is 15 years old and still going), do you watch it because of the main story or because you like the characters ? In Japan, Detective Conan basically became that.

By the way, Conan is currently on the one-before-last arc. And the Rum Arc starts approaching its climax now.

Conan ist exactly the way I love it , it does not rush and you can enjoy it for years to come, I hope it will be long before it emds, I hate series with only 13 episodes that is just not enough
