Was the 2001 dub better than what you thought?

I have heard from most viewers that the Shaman King dub is one of the better dubs that 4kids did. So does the original English dub still hold up?

When I last watched it a few years ago I thought it was pretty good, especially the main characters. Honestly I tried watching the new one in dub too and it annoyed me so I switched to sub lol.

Although 4Kids did change the name of the villain Hao Asakura to "Zeke" which I don't love, but it's fine.

I watched it in Portuguese from my country which is Brazil and the dubbing of the anime was very good and I only watched the first version of the anime which is from 2001 and I loved the dubbing the Brazilian dubbing actors sent well as fuck and became one of my favorite anime after FAIRY TAIL Dragon Ball and Akame ga kill so shaman king is one of the best anime ever
