| I don't feel like HxH is expressly aimed at children or "kiddy" feeling. There are anime out there where I feel that way but not this one. If anything I feel like HxH has a pretty wide and universal appeal. Anyone can really enjoy it as it has a lot to offer the "shounen" demographic and "seinen"-oriented viewers in the writing and characters especially down the line when you get to the Chimera Ant arc. I think ultimately HxH is pretty neutral/split down the middle. Like honestly, I feel like shows like Demon Slayer are far more kiddy grade. If you removed the blood and gore and just change it so that Tanjiro's family is sent to a shadow realm never to be seen ever again instead of killed it would be the exact same show and would air on Kids WB after Yu Gi Oh on Saturday mornings. Doesn't mean it's not fun to watch but imo that's what it is. |
