| It depends from person to person and for me Grand Blue is not funny at all I haven't been able to watch it more than 4 episodes but so far Gintama is very impressive for me and I hope it will be.. |

| In the time it took for this anime to end, Gintama still had not "gotten good" yet. Does that anime get good at episode 15? Episode 30? Episode 300? Literally the last episode? That's the one thing one cour anime like this have over such long running anime, they usually "get good" right off the bat. |

| I love gintam to death, but this show was much more consistent with the comedy… every episode made me laugh out loud. Gintama didn’t . Still you need to watch Gintama it is much more than a comedy. |

| Grand blue is very consistent in its comedy. Gintama has some mediocre comedy arcs (jugem jugem), but the best arcs are much better than GB. Gintama also has the advantage of having a lot of episodes to develop the characters, so the comedy is more fleshed out compared to 12-ep seasonal GB. There are so many funny characters that you could just pull out practically any combination of characters and make an episode out of it. |

| The comedy in gintama got repetitive pretty fast and it wasn't funny most of the time. The most I laughed in gintama was in season 4 which around 300 episodes in, after that it just kept getting worse. Grand blue is definitely funnier to me but I find saiki k to be far better than both. |
