The show's message is contradictory

In one of the episodes , the hamatora's told the weak (a.k.a normal humans) who were being jealous that 'those who dont care about what others think about them is the strongest' but in the final episode the show tries to shoehorn the message that 'you are not weak as long as others believe in /accepted yourself' , doesnt this sound contradictory??

The ending of the show felt off thats why this contradictory statements exist I believe, the show tries its best to have its happy ending instead of an good ( not so happy bubbly ) ending.

What do you guys think?
