In episode 2 of the Kyoto Saga what type of alcohol did they drink. I would say it couldn't be beer as even though it was chugged at least by Rin and they most likely have a low tolerance to alcohol it wouldn't have gotten them as drunk as they were to not remember the night before. As well as the taste both Rin and Bon did not realize what they were drinking was not alcohol for Rin it is excusable as he drank the entire can in one go but Bon on the other hand did not so it must have been flavored. So most likely a high concentration Malt beverage or liqueur but it would have to be heavily flavored but not enough so that Shura we be able to notice. My best guess is perhaps some kind of Malt liqueur?

I'd say rice wine, but you mentioned a can. Like wise, i'd guess beer with a low alcohol %, but it could a been anything. Drunken behavior doesn't always occur through alcohol.

While behavior is completely possible to achieve without alcohol they both lost their memories from the night before which lead me to believe it had a higher content of alcohol
