| I want to ask why does this series has no romance tag?, because i was about to start this anime and i dont see the tag, and this got recommended to me as a wholesome romance anime. Does the plot doesnt involve the romance? Or its just a side story?. Because i dont wanna waste my time waiting for the romance to come in. |

| Because there’s none. Tamako Market is a SoL, wholesome, feel good Anime. Tamako Love Story, the movie sequel, is the one that focuses in the Romance aspect. You have to watch Tamako Market first to get the full experience since it’s not really recommended to jump straight into the film though. |

| Well, if they have combined the series and the movie into a single series, then we could actually tag it, I think but most of the series is focused more on slice of life as the others already explained above. Undicium said: Well basically. It is more of a slice of life story than a romance one... There is some romance... But really... We are talking about kids here so as you can imagine, it is not in any sort of spotlight. Romance is really only in the Movie "Tamako love story" but to understand that, you first should watch this. This is also an explanation. |
| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
