Has anyone read this light novel, what volume is the continuation of this anime..

In short, the LNs are unfinished. The author wrote a 9th volume, but the publisher wanted it to go a different way, so it was dropped altogether and the volume went unpublished.
The anime skipped some chapters from the novels and the furthest they've adapted is from Volume 4, I think. But in any case, the anime does a better job at giving the story a conclusion than the novels.

I can't find an English translation of the LN or the manga.... in bakatsuki they stop at Volume 2 while the manga stops at chapter 23...
