I still find Alice to not be very likable. I don't dislike her but she's alright. The other characters in the cast are fine but none of them make me feel any attachment perse. It does relate to scenes changing from comedic to serious too quickly.

The case itself was well done. I think it was written clearly but I still couldn't pick up on hints myself. Everything for Sayuri was not a bad conclusion. I for one, for really loved how that Ayaka didn't regain her memories through magic but asked Alice to provide her with information.
