Anyway, so far as sci-fi and space opera goes, Space Battleship Yamato 2199 sounds like it'd probably be up your ally, and Legend of the Galactic Heroes is pretty solid (though the original is from the 80s and is pretty dated - if you want a new iteration check out the first season of the reboot that aired this spring). Cowboy Bebop's pretty much a must-see in terms of space opera too, I've heared "Terra e..." is good, and besides space opera there's some amazing cyberpunk out there like the Ghost in the Shell films and the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex TV series, Psycho-Pass, and if you want some really weird, out-there titles, Texhnolyze and Serial Experiments Lain. |

| hello and welcome!! there are tons of sci fi anime out there and you can ask in anime / manga rec I personally recommand you these: ergo proxy, ghost in the shell, mobile suit gundam, code geass, knights of sidonia, legend of the galactic heroes and steins;gate those are great entries to sci fi genres and quite popular as well hope you can enjoy your stay ! |
