Northern Outpost  Although one of the 2 public entries to Yvalia, the Northern Outpost is the smaller of the two. The road out of the city is paved, unlike the Eastern Outpost, but it can hardly compare to the size of the Southern Outpost. |

However, despite all the activity, he couldn't seem to describe it very well in his head since the picture was missing. Once he was there, he looked around for the students they were supposed to teach. If they weren't there, he'd wait and think about what to do once they arrived, wondering how he and Londo could train these students without putting them in too much danger. They didn't get any resummoning after all, so they couldn't afford to screw up. |

Skills Active: Master Guard (Permanent) Londo, after buying his stash, finally arrived at the Outpost. Seeing Sho, Londo made his way over to him, "Yo! I got some more potions! I had a few already, but here's everything I have." Londo said, showing Sho his entire inventory of stuff. Then, Londo looked around for his potential students, shouting out, "Yo, where the students at? Professer Londo is here and ready to pound some sense and teachings into you guys!" Londo said, smashing his fists together, "Only come forth if you are ready to accept a teaching of your lifetime!" |
Intermission Sho and Londo met up again at the Northern Outpost, killing some time as they waited. People flowed in and out of the city, traveling on a variety of vehicles, mounts, and body parts, with the city guards remaining ever vigilant as they went about their duties. After a few minutes of the SOULs loitering, one of the guards looked like he wanted to ask them what they were up to, but said guard decided against it. Perhaps it had to do with the small group of kids racing towards the pair. "Hey hey! You're the suppranemtal teachers they sent, right?" An energetic voice matched an equally energetic face as a young girl rushed over to Londo and Sho, practically skidding to a stop right in front of them precisely as her question finished.  "Harumi!!" A second, older girl appeared, having only just now caught up to the first. "Seriously, don't run off like that. These people might not even be the right ones." After chastising the younger girl (Harumi?) for a moment, she turned to face Londo and Sho. "I'm sorry about her, she's very excitable. Are you two the new teachers?"  "Of course they're not," A boy around the age of the second girl came trotting up, sword hilt bouncing lightly against his waist as he moved. "They're barely older than us; there's no way they're teachers."  Finally, a young boy wearing a huge camping backpack came panting over. Once stopped, he'd bend forward a little to rest his hands on his knees, nearly bopping the other boy on the head with the staff protruding from the top of the backpack. "You guys... couldn't... just wait... for me?" He said between pants as he tried to catch his breath.  "Eheh, sorry Timmy," Harumi(?) laughed an apology, turning to face the small boy with the backpack without bothering to wait for a reply from the SOULs. "I just got suuuper excited." The first boy also turned away before the SOULs could reply, though something in the manner in which he did so seemed to imply that he was doing so intentionally. "Just think of it as endurance training." Still partially keeled over, the backpack-toter (Timmy?) muttered: "I'm ok at endurance, its when you guys go so fast that I have trouble. Plus, I've got the backpack and all the lunches and stuff." Harumi(?) ran over to Timmy(?), practically tackling him and very nearly knocking him over backwards as she hugged him. "I'm sorry, Timmy, please forgive meIstilllikeyouandIwantlunch." "I'll pretend I didn't hear that last part. Anyway, get off me so I can breathe." A moment later, Timmy(?) had extracted himself from Harumi(?)'s arms. He stepped over to the side of the walkway they were gathered on, taking off the backpack and carefully setting it down out of the way. It was unclear whether the quiet sigh of relief was from Timmy(?) or the fabric of the backpack itself. A different sigh sounded, this one from the bunny girl as she turned away from her fellows and towards the SOULs. "I'm really sorry about them." She extended her right hand towards the two for a handshake, should they permit one. "I'm Naomi Eklund, from the School of Ancestral Power, and these are my fellow students. Correct me if I'm wrong-" "You are," The smile on Naomi's face decidedly stiffened for a moment before she continued: "but are you two the replacement instructors we are to be provided?" |

There were all kinds of people entering and leaving the city on mounts, vehicles, or just on foot. It was definitely a lot more diverse than what he was used to at home. Then Londo showed up, showing what he'd bought at the alchemist's shop. "That's a lot of damage potions, thanks!" He was glad Londo thought it was worth spending this much money on those ridiculously overpriced potions. Londo asked where the kids were, saying he'd 'pound some sense and teachings into them' which made a sweat drop appear on Sho's face. No one went over to them claiming to be those students from that fighting school though. "Looks like we've gotta wait..." So wait they did, passing the time and continuing to loiter around the outpost. This eventually got them some stares from the guards, but before they could ask them what they were doing here... A very young girl with dragon wings ran over to them, asking them excitedly if they were the "suppranemtal" teachers. They're that young..? A moment of surprise prevented Sho from answering before another kid ran in, this one a cute bunny girl who was (comparatively) older and acted more mature. She also asked if they were the teachers, but yet again, Sho couldn't answer, this time since a teenage boy rudely interrupted him. Now he was a little irritated as the kid said they couldn't be teachers since they were barely older than them. A third time, he couldn't respond as the last student arrived, this one a little elf boy who appeared to be moving in slow motion even though he looked like he was running as fast as he could. He's so slow... It was the second time he had gotten reminded of how fast normal people actually were compared to all the super-powered SOULs and CS he'd seen. Plus, the boy looked oddly familiar for some reason... Then the dragon girl "Harumi" said sorry for going ahead and hugged "Timmy", which was kind of cute, but it bothered Sho thinking about how these kids had to learn to fight at such a young age. Ever since the CS started appearing people had to train earlier to have a chance to survive...However that thought was distracted by the other boy being rude as usual, turning away from them since he was a tsundere. Finally, the bunny girl Naomi acted like the leader of the group and apologized for the others, offering a handshake and introducing herself. Sho shook her hand, tried to ignore the rude guy's comment and then answered her question after a bit of hesitation, since he had a hard time believing they were teachers too. "Uh...yeah, I know it's hard to believe, sorry...I'm Sho Kazehaya, he's Londo, and we're your replacement teachers. I'm sure we're not nearly as good as your actual teacher, but we'll do our best to help!" Sho responded a little nervously, not used to these kinds of expectations. After all, a mediocre student would never expect to have to teach others. But if they'd have to do this, he needed to get to know these students and what they were capable of. "I think I heard all your names except for yours...What's your name? And if we're going to train, what kind of stuff can you guys do?" Sho looked at the rude boy with a sword, since he was the only one whose name he hadn't heard yet. He needed to figure out what they could all do before deciding on any training, since they had to know what these kids could handle. |

Skills Active: Master Guard (Permanent) After the kids showed up, and Londo saw what Sho did, Sho introduced themselves, but Londo thought it was a pretty boring way to introduce oneselves. Especially to one's students! Londo punched Sho's shoulder lightly, "Ah Sho, no need to be rude! You haven't REALLY introduced us yet!" Londo said, hitting Sho's shoulder again, "This is Sho, he can use wind magic and fight really fast with a sword! I-" Londo said, striking a jojo pose,"Am Londo, the GREAT! I am able to hit stuff really hard and take back the hits in return!" Londo said, resuming his normal stance. Then he pointed to the kids, "And don't just tell us your power, SHOW it to us! Use your strongest move on me! Don't worry, I can take it! Tell me what your power is while you show me! I can't get a grasp on how powerful you are unless you prove it to me!" Londo said, pressuring the kids into hitting him and commiting reverse assault on a minor, as he crossed his arms and widened his stance so he wouldn't be knocked back as easily. "Show me your power!" Londo said, smirking at the kids. |

All four students listened, though with various states of obvious attention. Naomi and Timothy were fully attentive, Myles continued to act aloof but was listening in, and Harumi was listening but also watching the other people passing through the Outpost. There was a clear scoff from Myles when Sho revealed his own lack of confidence, followed by Sho’s request for his name. ”Hmph, what makes you think you’re deserving of my name?” ”Myles, stop being so rude!” Naomi sternly glared at him, though he pretended not to notice. Then Londo spoke up. All four students ended up staring blankly at him in utter shock by the time he was finished speaking. ”U-um, Mister, uh, Londo?” Myles hesitantly raised his voice. ”Shouldn’t we, uh, not fight right outside the city gate? Myles didn’t particularly seem to mind, as he pulled his sword out of its sheath. ”You’re an interesting one. Very well then; get ready!” ”Myles, WHAT ON GAEA ARE YOU DOING?!” Naomi screamed, having evidently finally snapped. Not that Myles paid much attention to her, busy with getting combat-ready into fighting stance. ”Soooo, are we fighting then?” Harumi asked, excitement clear in her voice. ”NO, HARUMI!” ”Yeah, Harumi, we should probably stay out of this, at least right now.” ” ‘kaaaaaaay…” Naomi would continue to shout at Myles, who began to move in a circle around Londo. Harumi and Timothy kept back well out of the way. Naomi also stayed back out of the circle, though she was closer to Myles than the other two. And then there were the guards, who were anxiously eying the situation from their positions, trying to go about their other duties for as long as possible until they definitely had to intervene. |

"Seriously?!" His attitude was really annoying. However, something else was even more surprising: Londo asking the kids to all attack him, right next to the city entrance with guards watching. "Nani?! What?!" He was only a little less shocked than the four kids, now that he'd been around Londo longer. What was even worse was that the rude kid was dumb enough to take the challenge and got ready to attack. Meanwhile the guards were watching anxiously and the other kids begging Myles to stop were ignored... "That's enough!" Sho instantly closed the distance to move between Myles and Londo, taking only a split second to move there. Then he stood between them so that Myles couldn't reach Londo, trying to get them both to stop. "We can't fight here, we could get in serious trouble!" Looking back at the guards, it was obvious by their expression that they were getting ready to intervene. If that got Myles to stop circling and preparing to attack, he'd say something more. "Myles, I know you don't like us, but could you at least give us a chance to help?" He didn't get why this kid had such a bad attitude, but they wouldn't get anywhere if he kept refusing to cooperate. If that was enough to prevent a fight, then they could hopefully get back to the kids introducing themselves and what they could do. |

Skills Active: Master Guard (Permanent) Londo was very much disappointed that the pacing of this mission was now equivalent to an episode of DragonBall disappointed when noone attacked. Instead they all seemed to like yelling, until the point where Sho intervened, by moving in front of Londo. Sho seemed to be of the idea that they shouldn't fight there. Londo wasn't planning on fighting at all, just getting hit so he could test them out, but whatever. Londo sighed, moving forwards and trying to push Sho out of the way, "Alright fine! We can go somewhere else. Except Miles! Miles doesn't seem to like us much." Londo said, walking up to Myles and pulling him slightly away from the other 3 kids, "You can stay here in the city, the rest of us will go an have a fun time! If you wanna join, you gotta play nice. Trust your partners! But until then... Bye!" Londo said, gesturing to Sho that they should leave, while attempting to push the other kids away from the city in the bluff of hoping that Myles would give up and join them. |

A brief glance back towards the wall gave him a view of one of the closer guards adjusting his grip on his spear a bit, and the tension around the other guards was almost palpable. With a "Tch," Myles sheathed his sword again. Even if he did have issues with the two teachers, he couldn't handle a fight with the city guards. Plus, he wasn't about to go getting his friends into trouble. "Have it your way, burger king Sho. When Londo tried to pull him away, Myles would bat away Londo's hand (since I assume Londo wasn't using his full strength to pull Myles). "I'm not going to abandon my friends. I already don't think you're qualified to teach us; if I left you alone with them you'd just be that much more likely to get them all killed." All three of the other students gave small sighs almost simultaneously, though for various reasons. Naomi's was one of exasperation at Myles's attitude; Timothy's was one of relief at the situation being defused; and Harumi's was one of satisfaction. Turning towards her, Timothy used his incredible detective abilities to deduce that the frosting around her mouth was probably from one of the cupcakes he had been storing for dessert or a treat for the group. "HEY!" "Ah. Ehehe?" Naomi moved over towards Sho and Londo to speak to them again. "Again, I'm really sorry about them, especially Myles. They're a crazy bunch, but they're all surprisingly reliable when it comes down to it. And even Myles will come around eventually. So, whatever you have planned, just give the word and we'll get started. Hopefully it'll help Myles shut up too" While Naomi spoke, Timothy decided his backpack wasn't safe from raiders when it was away from him, so he moved over to it and put it on. With that done, they were ready to leave the area should Sho and Londo instruct them to. Then again, there was also no harm in lingering if the two SOULs wanted to discuss something, return to town, etc. |

Then Londo tried something weird, pulling him away from the other kids and saying they'd go on without him...He must be bluffing..right? With how crazy Londo was, he wasn't sure, but Myles wouldn't let himself be left behind since he thought they weren't qualified. He couldn't really argue with that, but the kid was still rude about it. He at least seemed to care about his friends... Sho sighed along with the others, relieved he'd at least try letting them teach. Then after an incident with a stolen cupcake, Naomi apologized for the others' behavior again, saying they were crazy but reliable, even Myles. Now they could get started with whatever they had planned. "Thanks, don't worry about it." He responded with a smile, glad there was at least someone sane among these kids. They needed to figure out what these kids were capable of before thinking about fighting... So Sho left the area with the others, staying near the main road while talking to the rest of the group. "Let's go for a walk, those guys don't seem to like us staying around here." Besides, he didn't want to talk about the mission in a place with lots of people. Once they left the outpost, he'd say some more. "If we're going to train, we'd better be prepared. So, what kind of stuff can you guys do?" It was the second time he'd asked so he was hoping they'd actually answer this time. He knew a little based on their weapons, but it wasn't really enough to prepare for any real battles. |

Fortunately, he seemed to care about his friends enough to warrent him tagging along because he didn't think they were strong enough. Londo chuckled and gave him a thumbs up, "Do what you want!" He said, before leaving the area with them all. Londo couldn't wait to impress them with his glorious display of power, and after today, he'd be even more powerful! The kids seemed to talk about a stolen me cupcake, but Londo didn't know what they meant, so he kept walking anyways. He waved Sho off when he asked the kids what they could do, "Sho, if you hadn't had cut in, then we would know already right? Instead we're gonna have a boring talk, then they show us when we get to the training fields, and it's gonna be anti-climactic... Speaking of training fields-" Londo said, perking up suddenly, "Ya think where we first fought that Fenrir thing would be a nice place? It'd be nice to fight another one of those now I'm an even higher rank!" Londo said, hyping himself up for a fight he may or may not get. |
