Established in the year AR 46, the Royal Castle has had a long-standing history ever since its inception. It is centuries old and has been renovated many times throughout the years, yet due to outstanding architecture, has withstood the passage of time quite magnificently. The castle is guarded 24/7 by the Royal Guard, an elite set of soldiers chosen from amongst the highest and most gifted individuals, who, after enduring a rigorous and grueling training regimen, have elevated themselves to extremely skilled combatants. They are stationed at all towers, walls, entrances and constantly patrol the halls in order to guarantee an impregnable fortress, making unlawful entry and infiltration an nigh impossible task.
It is currently the residence of the 13th Royal King of Yvalia, Ludvig Hoch Edelis, and the Yvalian Royal Family. Since the recent departure of the late Queen Regina, the Yvalian Royal Family now consists of the 13th Royal King, the 1st Royal Crown Prince and the 1st and 2nd Royal Princess. Naturally, an abundance of maids and butlers are stationed at the castle at well, ready to bow to the Royal Family's every whim with pleasure. However, ever since the kingdom had been abolished and a democracy established, the Royal Family has little say in politic affairs, mostly only fulfilling cultural, traditional and ceremonial duties. Despite that, the Royal Family enjoys high popularity among its citizens.
Visitors are not permitted entry. All foreign people are authorized to be shot on sight so venturing in carelessly would prove to be a fatal mistake. Only special circumstances grant outsiders access to the castle.
