Romance anime with a powerful female lead? Physically OR/AND Emotionally.

Hi everyone! As the title says, I am looking for a romance anime with a powerful female lead. Can be physically or emotionally. The anime doesn't have to have romance as one of it's main genres, it could be just be something on the side. Like Magi: The labyrinth of magic with Morgiana and Alibaba. She could have like a dark sort of past or something. I would prefer it not being a harem as well. Thanks!

Fate/stay night 2006 (This one has more romance than UBW. Also if you want or prefer Shirou and Saber romance)
Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works 2014 (Less romance but still there. If you want or prefer Shirou and Rin romance)

An anime that comes to mind as primarily a romance anime is Special A. I think she fits both of your criteria.
