What exactly is the sibyl system? And does this anime get better?

I kinda dislike how episodic this is and that they give useless information a lot. It feels like the show is trying to be smarter than it is. Does this change throughout the series?

And I don't fully get what the sibyl system is so could anyone elaborate what it really does?

As for the episodic part, it becomes less after the 3rd or 4th case iirc.

It starts out episodic as a way for world building and establishing the characterization of each character. We follow Akane (female MC) as she goes through these strange cases, but as each case goes on, there's the realisation that they're all connected by one singular mastermind which leads into the main story. So don't worry, every episode is necessary for the plot.

The series does get better. That's if you are into a story focused on psychological and philosophical themes that form a satirical comparison between the society controlled by the Sybil System and our world.

Also if you're looking for a series just for action and a complete story that ties up everything then yeah this show isn't for you.
