Hey, does anyone have any information about if/when this will get a dub?

Probably not. JSDF empowerment fan-fiction isn't all that popular outside Japanese military nuts (a small group) and a few self-hating nationalists overseas.

The dub actually improves the anime, at least for me. The dub gets the ranks right, uses military language and terms better, and seems to make the entire anime flow a little better. Very good voice choices. Outside the "dubs always suck" crowd, and the crowd with the mindset that NO anime which has a military 'hero' can be good, viewers should be delighted by this show.

Sentai Filmworks did the English dubbing. Put some extra attention on the side characters, they had some absolute amazing voice acting talent.
