Romance manga(happy, lighthearted)

Hey,

I am getting kinda tired of the usual romance manga that I find, i.e. harem or love triangle etc. It might be that I even have not read any so far, that was just like the topic says, plus I would appreciate recommendations if it would be manga solely(or at least mostly) focused on one couple, not the group of people, and with no 'obstacles', i.e. ex, or like the girl is being kissed by others and there is a fuss over this, hesitating which person to choose,etc. I am fine with one-shots, but no anime please.

Sorry if there was the similar topic, but I could not find any like this, only some with few similarities.

And if this all got you confused, short summary: romance, one couple, no cheating, no triangles, would be great if only happy, without sad parts.

Hey,

thanks for that.Actually I read Onii-chan control, quite strange as well for me, I mean not their love, manga made me quite used to this, but how perverted they are.

Do you know sth more 'pure'? I would love sth like Plastic Memories, but manga and with happy end. I also like Shigatsu wa kimi no uso, but kinda get sad for the same reason as with Plastic Memories and Mirai Nikki, but since the romance in only part of it it i not exactly what I was looking for.

Just hope sb can understand me and share some titles.

Let's see..

Tomodachi no Hanashi -- It's one shots. Less diabetic but still sweet love stories.
Chikan Otoko -- The art might put you off but story is worth it.
Taiyou no Ie -- A bit drama here and there but I recommend it anyway because the ending is satisfying. Make sure to read the extras.
HajiOtsu. -- I personally don't really like it but it fits the bill. Might want check it out.

Thanks guys. Since you recommended it I read Taiyou no Ie yesterday and quite liked it. I know I am annoying, but if you remember more titles fitting the description let me know :P

I'm glad and quite surprised you liked Taiyou no Ie. It has its fair share of triangle drama, but no worries it's nothing major. Actually I'm actively searching these type of manga: lighthearted ones, romance with little to no drama. So it's a win win. Back to the topic. After digging up my list I found some that might meet the criteria.

Sore wa Totsuzen, Unmei no Aite ga -- Short. A collection of love stories. Loved it.

Fujiyama-san wa Shishunki -- A bit ecchi, innocent, no real major development with the couple but it's just fun to see their relationship thou. Funny and awkward.

Densha Otoko -- Hilarious

Bokura Wa Minna Kawaisou? Love the humour in this manga and its really sweet. It has an anime too which is short but just as good

If anime characters were real, i'd probably be the happiest person alive! Or just dead.... ^_^

About Taiyou no Ie, I was thinking that the brother is only in the way and there was a little drama, but it didn't affect relationship and ended happily so it's fine. I just don't like as I said all these hesitations, giving up, breaking up, kisses with others(or harem nad perverted). Huh, I guess I am kinda strange after all.

Anyway thanks for new recommendations, sadly I've already read most of the titles in the list from the link, but some are new to me, so I'm gonna try them.

Bokura looks ok, but since I read quite a lot I prefer complete series so that I do not have to wait for updates.

I've watched Ouran few years ago and have recently read manga, love the latter half of chapters :D

Densha Otoko was really enjoyable, but it kinda felt more like a comedy than romance.

Just read Strobe Edge and Faster than a kiss. Particularly happy that I took a look at the second one, though in my view, to some extent it is really similar to Taiyou no Ie.

Do you have any opinions regarding Re Marina? I mean, is it really 'cute' romance? I wanted to read it for some time now, but the description about naked woman and questionable sense of going back in time did not sound that appealing.

Itoshi no Karin sounds curious, I just hope it won't end up with him failing until the very end :D

Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii - so far focus on only two couple with mostly the main couple
Bonnouji-very lighted hearted and great ending
Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko!-light hearted and funny
Yandere Kanojo-good story and comedy
Fujimi Lovers-you might not like because it has a lot of sad parts but I would recommend because of the mc undying love for the "heriones" you'll get it once you read
Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san- light heart contain romance but is mostly comedy

Hi, actually I was a bit busy, so I could not reply. Still, I found some time to enjoy some manga :D

Relating to the question if I found anything fitting the description, the answer is -'not really'or 'to a certain extent' ( I would love to look at the relationships going smoothly, as I said I am probably weird,but all those stolen kisses, pointlessly making others jealous irritate me sometimes, or more like I've already read a lot of such stories), but on the other hand I found many other really enjoyable titles(many thanks guys), such as Special A, Faster than Kiss, Taiyou no Ie, Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen.

Before even I asked you for titles I've read Bonnouji and Yandere Kanojo- they are also similar to what I had in mind, there is light atmospehre in them, but for me not enough romance. It is the same with Beast Master, it was nice but without any real development until the very end.

Wow, sorry for that. Somehow I turned this post into something about my preferences and impressions. Anyway, still looking for new titles and probably gonna ask you once again soon, once I've read all of them.

If you are tired of the usual rom/com, you may want to try Nazo no Kanojo X (https://myanimelist.net/anime/12467/Nazo_no_Kanojo_X?q=nazo%20)..
The premise is as weird as it can get, but if you actually manage to watch it to ep 3 then you'll get a story completely different of what one would expect it to be. I think you may like it cause the couple is quite ''unique'', and though there are times when their loyalty to each other is proved, their always trust each other at the end of the day. So yeah, it does have other people trying to get in between them, but they handle it pretty good.. Also, surprisingly, it's a quite ''innocent'' romance, and you wouldn't expect that form an anime tagged ecchi..
The anime is good, and it covers like a third of the manga, so I would recommend you to go try the anime, and if you like it you can always finish the manga.

Don't know if you still care, but I read Re:Marina and in my opinion, it does fit what you might like. There is no unneeded drama, no love triangles, and no harem. BUT

It is, at times, a bit ecchi, but that is only between the main couple => NO cheating or NTR
