| The rating system should be applied to the character pages too. So that we may rate characters. Just favoriting them is limiting but the limit is appropriate. But favorites include waifus and male characters and cannot be accommodated in that list. [there are hacks but I dont want to use that] So I think that the same rating system should be applied to characters as well. |
| A 4 point scale could work (love, like, meh, hate). There are far more characters than anime and there are even individual anime with 500+ characters so it would be time consuming to even bother putting them into a 10 point scale. I do agree that the two point scale of favourite/not with a limit of 10 favourites is very limiting. |

Yeah but mal doesn't want the hate for characters. this is what the top 5 hated characters would look like: 1. Near(Deathnote) 2. Sakura(Filleruto) 3. Misa(deathnote) 4. Sugou/makoto (sao/schooldays) 5. Nina (codegeass) |

The scores would be weighted and characters would require at least 50 votes to be in the rankings. The "top 5 most hated characters" would only be visible by going to the top characters page and finding when the characters start having less than 50 votes since that would be the lowest part of the scale. | The amount of favorites they have is enough of a rating. |
| Personally I'd be happy with a system similar to A-P's Love/Hate buttons. |
| Have the waifu debates reached such a stage that this is necessary? I think number of favorites is good enough. |
