Manga without anime adaptation

Hi,

first things first. I´m pretty much new to manga, so don´t bother with my list.

I´m looking for manga series with the following conditions:

- must grab my attention immediately; i´m very impatient unfortunately
- must have an interesting (maybe even absurd!) premise; i mean idc how well a "cute girls doing cute things" series is executed, at the end of the day it´s STILL just cgdct
- must not have an anime adaptation

Genre, setting, artstyle, etc. do not matter to me.

I second Onanie Master Kurosawa and Holyland.
Sanctuary, Vagabond and Vinland Saga are all worth a read too.
