When did Minori start liking Ryuuji?

She said she liked him the whole time but didn't pursue it because of Taiga.But Taiga and Ryuugi only got close recently. So why couldn't she confess before that? Or is that the first year in high school they knew each other? Does the light novel go into detail?

It was never shown or even mentioned that Minorin's feelings shown for Ryuuji was apparent. I have the manga and in volume 5 of the series, Minorin mentions that she isn't interested in love when talking to Ryuuji. And, that someday she'll find love. In the anime however, it was unexpected on how Minorin's feelings came to be with Ryuuji. So did, Ryuuji falling in love with Taiga. I mean Ryuuji still liked Minorin even until the end, but at the end of the story Taiga won his heart. *cough* Nisekoi.

I believe she liked him the entire time, but was under the impression that Taiga liked him as well. That, or she wasn't sure about her feelings or wasn't interested in being in a relationship despite liking him.
