Been reading more books on economics and corporate culture lately~ mainly for work.

Reading stuff on Toyota but just the introduction implies that no one would ever grasp it :')

Currently reading Book 6 of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair.

After the 3rd book, the series sort of feels bland to me.

The lux series? What genre?

I just finished reading Winter Town by Stephen Emond during my lunch break at work. The other book that I checked out from the library recently is called In 27 Days by Alison Gervais, so that will be the one that I will start reading later today. Kicking myself a little bit at the moment because I assumed this was a stand alone novel, but according to Goodreads, it isn't. And I've really been more into stand alone ones lately. Oh well, lol.

Just felt like sharing something I've read a while ago:

Baggage

"I have a lot of baggage from my past. You wouldn't want me."

"Don't worry. I'll be your very own incompetent bellboy.
I'll carry them, then lose them slowly one by one.
You wouldn't even notice."

- Midnight Monologue, Charissa Ong T.Y.

Someone shared this in a game I was playing, and it was a nice read:

Because I could not stop for Death –
He kindly stopped for me –
The Carriage held but just Ourselves –
And Immortality.

We slowly drove – He knew no haste
And I had put away
My labor and my leisure too,
For His Civility –

We passed the School, where Children strove
At Recess – in the Ring –
We passed the Fields of Gazing Grain –
We passed the Setting Sun –

Or rather – He passed Us –
The Dews drew quivering and Chill –
For only Gossamer, my Gown –
My Tippet – only Tulle –

We paused before a House that seemed
A Swelling of the Ground –
The Roof was scarcely visible –
The Cornice – in the Ground –

Since then – 'tis Centuries – and yet
Feels shorter than the Day
I first surmised the Horses' Heads
Were toward Eternity –

– Emily Dickinson (1863)
