Punish users for participation in rulebreaking threads

Unless it's already done, but I'm pretty sure it isn't.

Not like, every thread that breaks a rule, but ones that are more obviously against them—spam, porn, gore, undesignated chat threads, et cetera. Users posting in/bumping those threads just leads to them getting more attention, which can be counterproductive if unprohibited.

I don't think that's a fair comparison, honestly; this is something I've seen implemented or established on a lot of other forums, and it seems to help quite a bit.

hm, that's a fair enough case against it; i guess it really depends on the userbase in question. still interested to hear what other people think, but you've surely helped me become more understanding of why they might disagree.
