| I'd like to say, that when you truly love someone, you two come to form an unshakeable bond. That bond may or may not be expressed through carnal fornication. Some might say, that two people who really love each other are capable of waiting till matrimony for copulation. As in they are making that first time as a twofold statement: 1. She is his. He is hers. They are for each other. Sex becomes the finite resolution in that the man and woman truly become one to kickoff the marriage. 2. With regards to statement 1, they now want to start a family. Other may say though, sex is the next step to a deep and committed relationship. That when people have sex, they do it as an expression of love(the context is that they are in a romantic relationship) and wanting to be closer to each other. And a sign that this kind of sex isn't purely for pleasure, is that you or your SO try to prioritize your partner's happiness and pleasure over your own.. Reading the two realities regarding relationships and sexual involvement above, I can say the following. -neither outlook is wrong. -neither is superior over the other -both work under the premise of expressing love. In conclusion, you go into a relationship for love, not sex. But you may express that love, through sex. |
