Ognir is where the dwarves reside, it is underground and is in the territory of Kabul.

King Bowin

King Bowin sat in the throne room of his city, and went through his daily business that came with being king. He was getting bored quickly though, and wished for some excitement.

Tanin had worn a grin for most of the remainder of the day after the Colosseum fight. Likely he was satisfied with Ishtar's reactions. At least he knew how to break her of her stone-faced expressions. The ride to the Dwarven City, however, was pretty dull aside from some... events that occurred between the two. Overall, the trip was quick enough and with enough amusements for the Prince not to complain on how boring it was.

Unfortunately, they couldn't ride the cabin down due to it being underground. "We'll have to walk rest of the way... Well, least I can sneak around and grab some Dwarven Ale." Exiting the carriage first he proceeds to help Ishtar out as well. Insisting the guards remain and guard the escort, the couple begin heading into the city. It wasn't a hostile area, they had no need for guards... and honestly Tanin didn't like being smothered, least not by protectors.

"I take it you'll do most 'o the talking?" The Prince questioned his wife. It wasn't wise to rely on Tanin for diplomacy... unless he was speaking with someone who was as blunt and for the most part apathetic as he was himself.

"Hmph, at least act like the next Sultan..you can get ale easy enough at the palace.." Walking down the massive stone steps she pauses a bit staring at the massive statue in the distance.

"Speak when you see a need, I will do most of it however, or so I had planned, you would just threaten to burn..well, bury their lands...Dwarves have always liked a bit of ale, adventure, and mostly greed. To that end I'll pass on a gift that was given to me." Patting the jewel box tied to her waist the pair reach the gate guard. "Go tell your king Envoys of the Sultan would have word with him if he would allow. We bring a gift as well." Ishtar hands over the box opening its contents briefly. "Now go." With a nod the dwarf heads off to do as he was told, having heard of the Kabulians already from the trade post located towards the surface.

As the stout warrior heads off Ishtar smiles briefly. "While technically they are within our borders, and our ability to harm, a willing ally is best."

King Bowin

After a bit of sitting on his throne and going through his reports, a small dwarf (Yes, certain dwarves are smaller then others) came in and notified him of the new arrivals, and their gift. The wizened dwarf nods then whispers something to the boy, and he walks off. The same small dwarf comes out to the two visitors and bow in respect.

"Our humble King Bowin will see you now."

"Dwarven ale's stronger," Tanin stated simply, not replying to the other parts of her scolding.

At her assumptions of his persuasive ability, Tanin scowls a bit. "Oi, why do you think whenever I open my mouth, I'm gonna threaten to break something er someone?" He questioned. He enjoyed battle but he wasn't necessarily cruel or oppressive... Looking at her expression, the Prince sighs. "I'm really gonna have to learn which of yer grins mischievous, lecherous and docile... Otherwise yer gonna throw me for a loop anytime ya' ain't blank-faced." Tanin would certainly have his hands full with her. He didn't have to worry about her yanking him around... she didn't have his mother's strength... yet she would undoubtedly be nagging the apathetic heir throughout the future. To be fair, likely he'd need it.

As the guard returned, Tanin then looked to Ishtar. "After you," He said with a fold of his arms.

"Because you look more liike a ruffian than a prince, of course." She says with a scoff. Smiling once more Ishtar casts doubt on what sort of smile it is this time as well, laying her head on Tanin's right shoulder as she walks alongside him. "Hmm..is that so..well at least I do believe I have fallen in love with you at the least." With her smile gone this time she leans back off of him, and slap taps the top of his head. "Though you do need to learn to be a great Sultan, I do not wish to rule but I might take up most of your work should you not learn to do it." Watching as the guard returns bidding them enter, she bows her head politely and makes her way to the throne room.

Tipping her head in greeting, she doesn't bow, as that would be unseemly for a dignitary, though some respect would need to be shown. Deciding to introduce the pair she uses her right arm to do such.

" I am Ishtar Kalhan Kashim, This is the future Sultan Tanin, Kashim, Kabul, I am but his lowly wife and mediator for this meeting, O'Dwarven King. I must say your ancestors were quite something else..if only such days of greatness were around for this Era." Testing the waters with him and to see his opinion of the gift, she nods her head towards the box. "The finest of gemstones and golden coins..from mines that are under worked I'm afraid."

King Bowin shifted through the box curiously, picking up a small gemstone, then setting it down.

"To be certain yer mines and jewelers work leaves much ta be desired lass. If they told ya this was the finest gemstones and coins ye had, ye have been seriously mislead. None the less, the gifts are appreciated, if holey unnecessary. The Sultan has given mine people peace, and land to mine on, both of which are appreciated and valued. Now what is that I can do for the future Sultan? Perhaps you need quality gems cut? Or lightweight armor built once again for the armies of Kabul? Or new weapons forged for battle?"

"Then doesn't that technically mean you've an interest in ruffians? After all, I am to your liking," Tanin pointed out with a huff. Pausing at the profession of love, the Prince scratched his cheek as if trying to find a response... then simply mumbled and rubbed the area hit once again. "I was gonna say somethin' nice there... Damn troublesome woman." He deeply cared for those close to him, though didn't express it all that well... unless you counted the fury inflicted upon those that did any of them harm.

As they entered the throne room, Tanin watches Ishtar a moment then mimics her nod of a head in greeting... The Prince probably would have gone without it. Again, not out of disrespect, but simply due to not valuing such customs. As he said earlier, Tanin remained quiet and allowed Ishtar to do most of the talking unless he felt like speaking up about this... He didn't even need to come, after all. He was doing this more out of finding an interest in travel, possibly finding a worthy opponent in Arzla and... some worry for Ishtar... not that he'd admit it if accused.

"Hmph...its fine..Tanin.." Saying his name as if trying it on for size before the group enter she then returns to the events at hand.

"Oh..I see, you do not understand. I said the fiinest, but not of where the gift was meant to show you where it is from.." Ishtar giggles lightly, smiling at the Dwarf before going back to her normal harsh expression.

"While those things matter little and less to me, I am sure the Prince would love them, I come barring..gifts in a manner. Tell Me sir Dwarf, your craftsmen could run those mines better no? You could also likely use more trade than you already have. And you most of all could use something to boast enough about to have your statue built among the great paragons no?"

Pausing for a bit, with a stride Ishtar walks forward showing no fear as she grabs a Ruby from the box and grins. "While these are rare In Kabul, they are as you said not up to standard. And the mines are in Arzlan Territory or rather what will likely in the next few days become their land.." Explaining the situation with the union in detail, she spins on her heel taking her place back besides Tanin then facing the King once more.

"As you can see this is a problem for Kabul, we have need of the Dwarven Armies going to war. In exchange you'll gain mining and holding rights to the mountain areas near you that are currently under the horseman's control. You don't have the Strength alone to take them..and even should Arzlan push us back, we nor they have the manpower to beat the other for good. Meaning we shall return if we stand alone.." Leaving the thinly veiled threat or perhapes warning at that. She goes back to the off of the carrot. "On the other hand once we enforce a peace upon Arzlan which will not require our advancement too far, I propose a increase in Trade between our peoples. What good is material gain if you have no one to sell products too?"

In order to keep the deal somewhat favorable she gives a slight sigh. "Of course if there is no War by some miracle then I will personally take up more trade with your people in exchange." She was sure he would have counter offers or suggestions of his own, so she waits for his reply.

King Bowin

He chuckled heartily.

"While we may have a love for precious gems and jewels that the mountain mines can give us, what makes you so certain this is precisely what we want more of? We already hold a cornerstone on the market of said precious jewels, and enjoy it, and to have more would be nice, but above all, my people need dirt, not rock, and sunlight, despite being mine dwellers. While your people provide trade we take to get food, the population of my kingdom is rising, and we must have more lands to grow food on. Afterall, we have no wish to be completely dependent on the kingdom of Kabul. My counteroffer is this, we will assist you in the war, in exchange for a tenth of all lands conquered, and the right to choose what lands these are. And we will help your kingdom with it's failing jewelers, by sending out a dwarf to every mine you own. Should that happen, I promise you productivity in the mines and the quality of your gems will go up."

Pausing to think on his counter offer, she weighs the choices, it would be counter productive should an peace accord be signed in which no land was gained..he could then demand Kabulian land, in which case he would likely ask for the bulk of the riverlands, which couldn't be allowed. Pondering it Ishtar holds her right hand, palm open towards the king.

"No. That is a bad deal for you. For example, should we actually take our objective, what lands you could gain would be far too little, or plagued with rebellion I will consent to this offer however with two clauses."

Closing her right palm save for two fingers, she continues. "One in the event no land is gained, we shall send labor to aid in making the regions around your mountain into livable lands. No easy feat but doable, you'll also receive the right to lease the Eastern Bank of the Great river. In the event we gain land, you may lay claim to what you wish, save the city. But depending on fortunes in the war, you may then decide to take your ten percent, or the neck between our borders, and the Mage city. It is a huge fertile land, but given how far removed it is from the cities its sparsely populated."

Making a counter offer she felt would at least prevent any Dwarven counter claims, or at the very least hardships should they gain very little land, Ishtar awaits his reply.

King Bowin nodded. Thus was a satisfying arrangement, and definitely helped his people more then it helped theres, while harming neither party in the process.

"We have an accord then."

Nodding in reply at the accord, Ishtar decides to draw up the documentation for the agreement. Pausing for a bit as she finds parchment and a place to write on, Ishtar stares at Tanin and then the King, she knew he had to be restless, though he had been better behaved than she assumed he would be. "Perhaps you and my husband would like to drink some of your people's famous wine, over this accord. I am sorry we cannot stay for long, I shall leave details on how to contact the Sultan however."

Leaving the suggestion for the pair it would be a few moments for her to finish the documentation.

King Bowin nodded and stomped several times. A dwarf in guards armor came forward with two mugs full to the brim with ale, and King Bowin took one and took a sip.

Suddenly at the mention of a drink, Tanin's eyes fluttered and he glanced around. "Huh?" Had he really just zoned out...? "Well, not gonna' decline that," He murmured before approaching and grasping one of the mugs and... taking a large swig of it. Thank god he wasn't a lightweight. Though he did grimace a bit after swallowing the alcohol. It was very strong, after all. He was a bit of a drinker. Had to be when he was dragged to gatherings and the like... The Prince learned to view the booze as the only good part of the damned things.

(Unless wym needs more time for his day considering this bit wrapped up and will be moving onwards will wait for some sort of confirmation though.)

Finishing the documentation up, Ishtar leaves the signing blank save for her signature, looking at Tannin she sighs briefly having guess he had just zoned out and wasn't behaving at all. Reflecting on it being a shame she could try none considering what she was doing or attempting it was a small matter.

Walking over to the pair she hands Bowin the contract. "All you need to do is take this to the Sultan whenever you meet with him..if I am not mistaken he will be heading for the border fortress to await the March of Arzlan, depending on your plans a messenger would suffice if you yourself rather not go." Bowing lightly towards the Dwarven King she looks up at Tanin. "Mayhaps the next time we see you shall be for a bit longer..I am sorry for our rudeness but we will not be able to stay long..it is a long ride from here to the Arzlan Capital..it will be by luck we are in time to even lodge a protest.." Waiting to be sure Tanin was done, they really would have to be on the way.

Finishing the mug... surprisingly quickly, Tanin releases a sigh and looks back to Ishtar as she sighed. Setting the cup down, he slightly bowed in thanks and returned to his wife's side. "You just don't have much hope for me, do ya'?" He asked quietly. "You should believe in yer husband a bit more," He added with a huff, waiting for Ishtar to begin her way out. "Might also wanna try saying my name without it sounding like yer testing out a weird, foreign word," He further added, commenting on something she did even before they entered to see the king.

Bowing before the Dwarven King she gives a brisk nod. "That will be well, it will take that long for either Army to move. Enjoy the rest of your day my Ally."

Straightening herself, Ishtar speaks quitely with an agrivating sigh. "I am still here arn't I? If I believed you to be totally hopeless I would not have brought you along.." SCowling at the next bit she shakes her head side to side. "That would be improper, you will be Tanin when we are together. When others are with us you will be the Sultans Heir, or the Next Sultan, you are my treassure, but you have others that you must lead, and whom depend on you. A Sultan, King, or Emperor will never know all of his subjects, it is his title they all shall remember, as he shall know them as Subjects, it is how htings are..Tanin."

She says with a bit of seriousness to her tone, turning away from the Dwarven King, she takes Tanin's Arm with in her own. "It is no simple thing to take your name lightly."

"I'll learn the name of anyone I see worth it. Everyone should know my name, right? Not like I care what they call me. Other people wanna be formal, fine, but it's weir when people I personally know talk as if they're my guard," Tanin stated as he glanced down at her. With that scowl, she could pass for one. "And when I become Sultan, that means I can make or break things. All formalities do is give the impression that everyone has a pole up their arse." Scoffing after that, he continues to walk with her arm interlocked with his. "Actions speak louder than words, titles or names... and frankly, I respond best to those."

"...And fer the record. I was thinking, not just zonin' out."

(Well we are done here unless I should meet the blood pope before the wedding which I should..I'll leave those details up to you Astros, Wym, maybe even yz what with giving her the book and all.)

"Hmph..that so?" She says reaching around with her free hand, to give him a soft slap upside his head. Ishtar then ventures a smile, before whispering his name to him once more. "Tanin.. Giggling lightly it was time to be moving on from here..for now she had to meet with this blood Pope.. "Ah in the next place..I likely will call you by name..though you may wish to not even be there."

Clearing the halls and the main gate, the wagon was still waiting for them.
