| Kikyou is just amazing, she's probably the strongest character in Inuyasha. She's so confident and could destroy evil when ever she wants, but of course her hatred stops her, thus is why she's so different (and how she's basically an undead, shares a soul and inuyasha is divided...) and makes the story so interesting. I also like kagome very much as she's also key to the story, but she's not even 25% of what Kikyou is. And inuyasha could go his separate ways with kagome and each live their lives in their own worlds, but one thing is certain: he could never forget Kikyou. So Kikyou is one of my fav chars of all times in all series. So yea i also joined her club :) |

| Kikyo's perfect.The misfortune and sufferings she went through alone put her far above Kagome who often annoyed me and felt insensitive despite the writer possibly trying to pass her off otherwise. Her complex personality, being torn between a priestess and a normal woman who found her first love, and those little imperfections and struggles in between ironically draw her closer to "perfection" she just resonates so well with me to the point I feel somewhat saddened when people don't appreciate her. I think a fully revived Kikyo could've had an easier time dealing with the whole situation but since that wasn't the case, her strong emotions might have been a bit harder to control due to a curse of sorts. Perhaps her consciousness wasn't as complete as it would've been until later in the story. I love her and will never forget her. |
