Animation style of season 2

I am enjoying S2 animation style more than S1 I believe. Not saying that S1 animation is bad, but overall S2 feels like an upgrade to me personally (minus the rushed episodes like ep 14 of course). The backgrounds look livelier compared to S1, there is lot of character acting in a lot of moments (thanks to Gosso's vision) and the way the story and plot is moving the fights also feels pretty intense compared to S1.

Only problem is that MAPPA and Toho are rushing it, which hinders the full potential Gosso's vision can achieve. But still, whatever is shown I am quite satisfied (even with ep 14).

honestly, I was kind of picking up on the same thing. I think its an unfortunate result of the strenuous workload being placed on the animators, so some corners needed to be cut to meet demands. it has kinda taken some of the initial enjoyment from the show for me, but I'm gonna keep watching for the sake of the plot and see what happens. glad it wasn't just me.

Well, the director was changed right.. So therefore the style changed? Although I like s01's director (done some amazing job with gohs and jjk) s02's animation is a pleasant surprise for me along with the amazing music which perfectly compliments the current animation style.
For example, I kind of put ep6 on hold after finishing 5 episodes thinking it might a bit boring... But it was one of the best episodes for me, the way the music just elevates the animation style is just perfect!

My issue is the zoomed-in view. You don't get to see much of the body movement of human fights, unlike in S1. The animation would be better it weren't that zoomed-in. But it's fine as it is now, just zoom out a bit so people can see a larger picture.
