| You can tell he's lost a ton of confidence. Even after he screwed up on the demon continent he was still making plans and trying things out. He had a clear cut mission then, to get Eris home, and later he learned to trust Dead End to back him up. Now, with the rest of the party having left, and him still dealing with the aftermath of Orsted almost killing him, he's really floundering. He's still not sure how much he can trust the people around him and he'd gotten used to being in a party with much stronger members. He's really in unfamiliar territory here. We saw how much easier it was for him to take on monsters when he was by himself. I think he's holding back not just to keep from letting on how strong he is, but also so he doesn't accidentally hurt anyone around him. On top of all that his self esteem is the lowest it's been since he got isekaid, and it was never all that strong to begin with. So he's being really indecisive. If he ever held back with Ruijerd and Eris it was probably only because he had to be more precise and he couldn't just blast away with high powered spells with them around. It took me a little while to figure out the whole "Quagmire" nickname. I didn't notice the first time I watched the episode that the snow drakes came out from an opening right below the crotch of Kishirika's statue. |

| Episode 3 Just when it looked like Rudy was going to fall in love with Sara, he realizes something was terribly wrong with himself. So he sees Elise and gets touchy feely with her, and finally understands that he has developed a fear of women. And then he says some things he shouldn't have and Sara is none too pleased about it, so she's through with Rudy. It's a good thing Sol is around to try and keep him straight seeing that Rudy is just a wreck. Hopefully, the trip to another civilization will help him out seeing that Rudeus the Quagmire is going to need all the help he can get. |
| And now the real debilitating symptom resulting from what happened with Eris reveals itself, as feeling like he got burned has caused Rudeus's body to send no signals at all. Plus, all that stuff he said while in that drunken stupor effectively killed any chances of making up with Sara. Fortunately, Soldat turned a 180 after learning about Rudeus's troubles. Now word on his escapades has reached the ears of Elinalise, Roxy's seducing elf companion. |

| In hindsight they would have been better off to go out and find some really skanky looking prostitute. Rudy might not have gotten so worried about feeling abandoned in that case. | Sara said the worst things imaginable while she was leaving. What a despicable piece of shit. And she has the gall to be mad at him afterwards. I don't think Rudeus did a single thing wrong not even when complaining about her. I don't care if she didn't mean it, she still said it. Good riddance. |

| Episode 4 It's onto the next town as Rudy starts off fighting a red dragon and slaying it after a difficult battle. Back in town, he meets up with Paul's former party comrade Elinalise where she informs him that he knows where Zenith is as she's a freelance labyrinth explorer. And then a letter comes in as Rudy has been admitted to Ranoa University as a special student where he has free use of the library and resources without needing to take classes. Things are certainly looking up for Rudy seeing that this is something he's given God's blessing to do. And thus, Rudeus the Quagmire is now Rudeus the Scholar as he's going to Roxy's alma mater to get strong. |
| Has it really been two years between last week's episode and today's!? I was not expecting that big of a time skip. Elinalise finally finds Rudeus and tells him where Zenith is, and she summarily gets it on with every man she can find, including Soldat, much to Rudeus's chagrin as he still can't get it up. Then he gets a letter from the Ranoa school of magic, and he's actually reluctant to accept the invitation. It actually takes some encouragement from the Man-God, promising that Rudeus will find a cure for his ED there, that finally gets him to accept. Looks like Sylphie is there too as part of Ariel's entourage. How will Rudeus react when he sees her with white hair as opposed to green? |

| Funny that Elinalise was attracted to Rudy considering he looks like a young Paul. I guess Roxy has told her enough about Rudy to make her like him despite being the spawn of Paul. Also funny considering other things. I am surprised when she found out Rudy had ED she didn't try to cure him...but being in bed with him maybe she did... Did Rudy say Zemith is now a carefree Labyrinth explorer? I kind of doubt she is just putzing around in a labyrinth not trying to find her family. |

| Overall, the animation is still pretty solid but damn man it's a shame that it's a slight downgrade compare to S1. Rudeus's character model looked kinda funny in some parts. |

| Episode 5 Rudy begins his new life as a student at Ranoa, and he meets a familiar friend who has changed her identity as he is unaware that the one known as Fitz is actually his childhood friend Sylphie. And he meets another familiar face in Zanoba as he once taught the guy how to use magic during his journey home. There's a couple of animal girls, and he meets his cousin Luke who is not exactly fond of Rudy. And on his first day Rudy gets in trouble as he should have known better than to pick up a girl's panties, but it's a good thing Fitz was there to take responsibility. Seeing that Fitz is supposed to be pretending that she is a guy that dropping her panties wasn't exactly the smartest thing to do. It's no wonder why this show started with the episode about Sylphie becoming Fitz as Rudy doesn't realize that Fitz is somebody he's familiar with. |
| Well, that didn't take too long for Rudeus to find Sylphie. Unfortunately, he doesn't have a clue it's her behind those shades, and it seems Sylphie can't muster the courage to tell him flat out. Then there's Zanoba the crazy strong prince; Cliff, who Eris met while Rudeus was talking with his father that one time; and a couple of animal girls who are clearly related to Ghislaine. Plus, Princess Ariel is the student council president, and Luke, the other member of her entourage, is Rudeus's cousin. Then a misunderstanding blows completely out of proportion, as that one female dorm leader is absolutely brutal. Good thing Sylphie managed to clear things up. |

| Episode 6 Looks like Rudy is starting to catch on that Fitz is Sylphie, but he's a long ways away from discovering the truth. In the meantime, Sylphie and Zanoba are helping Rudy investigate the mass teleportation incident. Then Rudy goes shopping for a slave and buys a dwarf girl who appears to be desperate to die, but Rudy convinced her to live. And thus, the dwarf girl he names Juliette is now under his care. School life is off to an interesting start there and while it remains to be seen how and when Rudy picks up on Sylphie, he has some close friends. |
| Geez, I sure wish Sylphie would drop less subtle hints, as with the way things are going, Rudeus might begin to think he's actually gay. Zanoba's not cut out for figure-making, so he, Rudeus, and Sylphie go shopping for a slave to do the work for him. They settle on a young girl, and Rudeus has to convince her to keep on living before he can start teaching her magic. I'm actually disappointed that we have a standard opening sequence now. |

| Considering he was rescuing loli slaves last season, it is kind of odd he was buying one this season. Of course he did kind of give her a choice..I guess. It would have been better if he didn't stick her as a servant to Zanoba as he teaches her. I was also kind of surprised Sylphy/Fitz went along with them knowing what they planned to do. |

| Episode 7 Julie is quite the quick learner there as it took only a month for her to shoot clay out of her hand. But everything went south when Rudy's fanservicey figure of Roxy was broken, and the ones who did it are the beast girls Linia and Pursena. So Rudy taught them a lesson not to break somebody else's pride and joy, all while Fitz painted on their faces to get them to wise up. This goes to show what happens when somebody gets on Rudy's bad side that those two cute beastgirls did. |
