there is liking or disliking one thing and there is thinking something is good or not and to say that shibuya is a convoluted mess is... everything is explained well in fact its explained so well that a 5 year old can get everything that is going on when and where its going on etc so its not messy at all but its your opinion so whatever... its just that it comes off as hate just because you wanna have a different opinion you know because if there is a highly regarded arc in recent times is shibuya and thats for a reason and if you dont like it because its a mess you should try reading it again... maybe?? What mostly kept me watching is the fact that i always finish what i start, Mha season 3 and Re Zero being exceptions. But yeah mostly the story isn't anything new, it's just done so perfect that it makes it boring i guess. In my opinion that the fact that they all wear the same boring ass uniform makes them have no personality. Take Bungou Stray Dogs for example the character designs are great and reflect the character's personality in a perfect way where as in JJK the character design just isn't there. The animation is great though and the fights are pretty crazy, but honestly the characters are what makes it kind of blend for me.

Season 1 and Season 2 are so far apart that it's impossible to believe the same author went from writing the Shonen trope, no plot progression character introduction arc that is season 1 and then consecutively wrote Hidden Inventory, Premature Death and Shibuya which are honestly some of the best fiction I've read in terms of buildup, fights and moments. The plot is pretty nice as well but it's HUGELY overshadowed by the other three facts which are insanely well done

an anime has to have a hook, interesting cast, and be able to entertain for the full 24 minutes,“die now or get strong enough to potentially not die later” where have I not seen that before -_- it’s a cool idea but what comes in between that and the fights doesn’t fully entertain.

S1 is a 6 (mid) but because of how well it take an average story and combines it with its banger fights and animation bring it to at best a 7 or 8, still in the fence about the score.
