I don't think it would hurt at all if they went the anime original route with it but stuck close to the source as best they could maybe even consulted with the writer. I think this way Sins could actually become one of the top long running anime. It's been a loooooong time since there was a real good long running anime. Only ones really long running recently are bleach,naruto,fairy tail and one piece and all of those are much more toned down kid aimed.

I think if it would be awesome to see Sins become a real actual serious long running anime. It wouldn't be hard either with how it's seemed to blown up anime wise and manga wise which is what they mainly care about it's more popular than fairy tail even right now in Japan.
