Are they somehow smarter than you? Were they just paying more attention? Clearly, if it was badly presented, then why did some people understand and not you? There's no logic to your arguments because at the end of the day, they're either appealing to people ("some of people I know didn't understand") or they end up being circular ("I didn't understand the characters because they were badly presented. Why didn't I understand? Because they were badly presented! ") |
| i've said it once and i'll say it again. this thread is bullshit, and this poll is bullshit. the OP is one who ceetainly should have known better what kind of shithole of a thread this would have just ended up as. there really needs to be more options on this poll. it was already bait for shitposting. especially from the F/Z fanboys. there are other anime available and with the common argument going around being information the others needs to be included as options as well. |

The visual novel is framed from first person perspective, so you get the full thoughts and atmosphere of the said situations( you get to actually see the main character deciding what to do in each moment which increases tension, you get to see his thoughts and observations on other characters like Rin and her mindset, you get to see whole situations like the boundary field incident observed more closely, etc). For some reason they threw all of that away here, resulting in very lifeless portrayal where things just...happen and then stuff moves on?. The pacing is less of slow and more of uneven - things that should go faster or not be there, are padded out, things that should go slower to have impact they need, go over in a blink of an eye and everything lacks great bit deal of depth that should actually make the situations carry the punch they should pack. This little comparison on tumblr for Medea alone kind of highlights the problem with the WHOLE show |
