As I said previously, I'll update the first post to reflect this.

Sorry, I think you misunderstand. You seem to say there's either the Berserk way of doing it, which is to 'handle it with care, and for a deep purpose, not only for the viewer, but for the characters.' or the Mirai Nikki way of doing it, which is 'purely rape; an act which we all detest'. I disagree with that basic premise. I think there are many reasons why rape can be put into a show and I don't think they all warrant being disliked, regardless of whether they make for good storytelling or not.

Okay thanks for your opinion. I disagree, I don't think if it adds anything of value than something else more suitable could have replaced the act.

Speaking of examples, I must correct things.
In Midori, young girl didn't get raped and in Now and then, here and there matter of rape is treated better than Berserk. It is a show inspired by real genocide, what does OP expect, rainbow and bubbles?

Yes, I believe the events in Now and then, here and there were understandable. Thanks for your opinion, I'll update the first post to reflect this. And I know that the world isn't rainbow and bubbles. Also, you're probably thinking of Midori days, this Midori was done by one man, and is a very old film.

No I am talking about Midori Shoujo. Midori wasn't raped as far as I remember, she was sexually harassed many times though.

Oh ok. When she first arrives at the freakshow the caterpillar man licks her (you know where) when she stumbles down onto the floor. Then when she's sleeping in the barnyard, the armless man comes in and rapes her. Then when she's having consensual sex with the midget, she says that she's not 'innocent', or 'hasn't got her virtue', something along those lines.
