What are your thoughts on Plastic Memories' Ending?

2015 post was litetally non true ending knower. Pmemories true ending exposed in a PS Game name plastic memeories which released 1 year after anime by same writer xd. It was isla hibernate and mc found out the way to improve life scan thingu then wake isla up.

Believe the ending could be fixed if it really is Isla as the new partner and season 2 is him going deeper into the business to find a way to bring back old memories, that would be a really good plot and way to keep the series going AND satisfy everyone

Are you saying in the ps adaptation the mc wakes up old memories as well? Or just wake up

Perfect ending for this anime.

In line with how their unique division of the company worked, with Isla as the inspiration for this.

Isla, as she always was, cared about the feelings, thoughts, and memories of the person releasing her, who was her boyfriend Tsukasa, and he worked to make her happy too.

The only complaint I had is that they didn't kiss sooner, kissing right before she is erased takes a lot away from the moment.

Unless they use that to make some miracle happen, seeing as it looked like Tsukasa's new partner was Isla re-programmed.

"I hope that one day you will be reunited with the one you cherish."

... one could hope for second season magic.

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

I am breathing copium when I hope that it's Isla with recovered memories, but I doubt it based on his face at the end.

Also, loved the anime and the ending hit so hard especially in the ferris wheel and the letters. Those that didn't feel anything when the events of the anime transpired, I feel that they never were interested in the first place and never got emotionally attached to the characters as the episodes went by. They probably saw some of the episodes as "filler" episodes when they were in fact establishing the other characters purposes on why they are here and why they matter to the story and why they care about Isla. Thus, when the ending hits you, a tsunami of emotions hit you as you are not only witnessing the events and you feel mixed emotions of sadness and despair, but you also have to deal with the emotional sympathy of all the other characters, thus causing the tsunami of emotions. For an anime that establishes that she'll be terminated at the end, it still made you care as long as you were actually interested. When I finished this anime some number of years ago, I simply sat in my room going through an existential crisis as it opened the door of my worries. Even years later, I recommend this anime and sometimes rewatch it with it still hitting my heart.

TLDR, if you don't like the anime, I am sorry for you. I love it. 10/10 Peak Emotions for a Romance Anime
