That I wasn't a werewolf and you and Lucas weren't vampires and Adam wasn't a demon and everything was just how it would be if this wasn't the kind of world we lived in.......but then again, one good thing that came out of it is I got to meet you." |
| "Yeah. And it's one hell of a bright spot." |
| he kissed her back. "Me too." |
| Not far away from the two, Michael is coincidentally wandering around. He seems unhurt from the confrontation with Alistair and he was not aware of Josef and Gwen's relation to Lucas and Adam. |
| "This is really nice." Said Josef. |
| "Me too. I've always loved the ocean. Ever since I was little even." |
| "Yeah. I think it's just the thought of some massive unknown expanse, just waiting to be discovered....kind of like life." |
| Josef blushed. "It's the abstract concepts...my mum always liked them." |
| "Yeah. She was always coming up with weird theories. It made me see the world in a different light." |
| "Where most people saw inconvenience I saw a reason behind it, where most people saw evil I saw someone who was misguided....I guess I'm really good at understanding people because of it. I think of the things no one thinks of." |
| "Some people think it's a waste of time; that grey areas only lead to bad decisions." |
| "Yeah, that's true." |
| "Yeah, we are. Oh well, I guess it's good to stop and think so you're not just gliding through life without thinking about it." |
| Josef shrugged. |
| Josef followed her gaze. |
| Josef closed his eyes, taking in the smell of the sea, when an odd scent drifted past him. It smelled very similar to ''Adam..." he whispered. |
| "I just smelled something weird...like...I dunno..." |
| "It's weird...kind of bitter and...dead smelling almost." |
| "I really hate to say it but I kind of smelled it on Adam when he...you know, came back to life." |
| "Yeah, it's stronger here too..." |
| Michael was not far away, and seeing Gwen poking around, he suspected shed noticed. 'So a vampire and a werewolf cuddling up close?' He thought. 'Not many couples like that; this must be them.' |
| 'Well, she's looking at me.' He thought. "What?" Asked Josef. |
| Josef noticed Michael. "Well, he looks kind of shady. I think it's time we got out of here." |
| Josef took Gwen's hand protectively and started walking with her. |
| Michael waited until they were a little farther away before starting to follow them. |
