The show premieres with two episodes today. Episode 1 And Scarlet goes full-blown villainess as she's out to get revenge on Kyle after he dumps her. It was a bad romance to begin with, but she comes in with a final request to deliver a punch to the face. There's a succession battle going on between the first prince Julius and the second prince Kyle, and it's clear that Kyle is not fit for the throne with his bratty attitude and abusive tendencies. As for Julius, he's been snooping around Scarlet as while she kept her secret personality well-hidden, Julius is onto her. Scarlet was preparing for her rebellion, and with Kyle dumping her in favor of Terenezza, that gave Scarlet the spark to act. And thus, Scarlet punches Kyle and Terenezza and has declared war on the kingdom by kicking everybody's ass. That was a nice way to start things here seeing Scarlet becoming so crude the way she did.

Episode 2 And with that, the arranged marriage has been annulled, and Kyle has been disowned thanks to Scarlet unleashing her anger, but in doing so she has to watch out for herself as a maid tried to assassinate her. It turns out that the maid is actually a boy beastkin who transformed into a human and is some evil-doer's slave. Scarlet released Nanaka from the slave crest and in return, spills the beans about who enslaved him, which is Godwin. So to deliver payback for that slave trader who blackmailed Nanaka into becoming a slave, Scarlet goes after the one known as Junk, and it's a good thing Julius knew exactly what to say seeing that Scarlet's violent personality would have gotten her in a lot of trouble. Scarlet's comedically crude ways continues to be amusing as it's always great to see those who deserved those beatdowns get what's coming to them.

I was worried that this would be a show without much in the way of magic. It's nice to see Scarlet dishing out justice with the aid of spells. The animation, art, sound, story and characters are all good, so I'm adding this to my list. Well, okay, Kyle is an absurd glaring stereotype, but I'll overlook that.

I can't not hear Sakurajima Mai-san when she says "buta". This feels like if "The Way Too Perfect Saint" had a backbone....it's also more interesting already.

I was worried at first with the way it started off with a very typical 'villainess' genre opening scene. It threw a curveball after that though, so I was pleasantly surprised. She reminds me a bit Yumiella Dolkness, though not quite as fun.

This is a pretty good "Villainess" setup. It's natural to Scarlet since she's been quite boyish and... joyfully barbaric since childhood anyways xD And with her being forced to consciously hold back for years, her crash-out is definitely justified. I do hope that the show doesn't forget that she's not just about brutality, but also competitive, as seen from her reaction towards the prince beating her in the school rankings. I also like that they gave her OP capabilities a limitation: Using her powers shortens her lifespan. My only nitpick so far is with the prince overreacting/glazing on her every little 'barbaric' statements/actions. I don't mind the brother doing that since he does take the fall for his sister's actions, which provides some comical moments. Even the other characters since it makes sense for them to be shocked with her not-so-princess-like attitude. But with the prince, it feels like teasing a crush with a redundant joke-- it could run the gag to the ground. I was working eight days a week; I'd work seven days and then on Monday morning I would start at 4AM to get an extra day's work in before he arrived. So stressed I had acid reflux and was pre-ulcerous and one time I thought I was having a heart attack (bad acid reflux.) I finished the job, though. When my contract came up for renewal I refused, even when offered a raise. The guy who replaced me lasted three months before he had a heart attack. So yeah, gulping antacids was definitely a thing for me back then.

The worst work experience I had was working a physical job for 12 or 16hrs each day in a week with no days off for about a month, as a production operator-- lost 40 pounds in less than 30 days. I guess I was still lucky enough to not have any deadlines or meetings to be pressured about or the added mental stress could've made me experience that condition as well. |

Episode 3 After kicking ass and taking names the first two episodes, this episode is all about setting the stage to kick Godwin's ass during the upcoming slave auction. There's a screening process that makes it impossible for Scarlet to enter through conventional means seeing that only experienced slave traders are allowed in, but she offers up Nanaka to gain entry seeing that beastkin like him are a rare find. Zatharian's bodyguard Donovan was being quite rough with him, but Scarlet shows that it's nothing she can't handle. So now that she gains entry to the event, they are strategizing about what to do. But little does she know that she's about to cross paths with Kyle and Terenezza again. Let's see how this goes as there's going to be a lot of action going on at the auction.

Quite bummed with the banter getting repetitive, especially since there's no reason for Scarlet to be pissed when teased about her brutality, since she's clearly very vocally proud of it. Love seeing her decimate people though xD Your Terenezza is not waifu-ing. xD A barbaric princess on one side, and a sociopathic princess on the other.

ep 1 Great animation, fun watching Scarlet beat on everyone. Wonder where this will go though since that can't last for a whole season. ep 2 Guess she is unflustered by seeing a guy's junk. She's more of an emotionless robot than the maid Marie. Guess I know which ass kicking girl I will watch this season.

It's really the opposite. The times when the show uses childish or comic book onomatopoeia in episode titles and dialog has actually been pretty decent translation. She always speaks like a 'proper' lady except when referring to enacting violence. Then she sort of uses childish cutesy sounding words. Probably on the idea that 'women of high breeding should not use foul language' etc. The titles seem modeled after some lines of dialog the characters say. Scarlett (and the characters around her who make a point of following along for irony or humor) doesn't say tough-sounding things like, "beat the shit out of them," or "send them to the hospital." The last episode title I'd translate literally as, “I thought we could properly talk it out and reach a conclusion, but after all, wouldn’t it be best to hit these high nobles lumpydumpybumpy instead?” The word is bokobonboko written in katakana as would be a manga sound effect. 'Bokoboko' is a common euphemism for beating someone up, it's based on onomatopoeia meaning bump bump or thud thud. Bokobonboko isn't in jisho.org but by context it means the same thing but sounds somehow more childish and innocuous rather than being a threat.

Episode 4 Pretty hilarious to see how Scarlet is kicking ass here, especially with that ballroom dance whirlwind. But it turns out that she's not the only one who was after Godwin's head as Alflame is a vigilante who was ready to kill Godwin on sight before Scarlet stopped him. Alflame was so impressed by Scarlet that he decided that he wants to marry her, but she's not going to marry just anybody after what happened between her and Kyle. As it turns out, Terenezza was isekaied from Japan, which is unusual seeing that the MC is the one who's isekaied, but not here from the look of things. Not unless Scarlet was an MMA fighter in her past life or something that's being saved for the end.

I was just contemplating whether to drop this or not but, looks like there's something interesting now. I already sensed the dragon dude was just gonna be a husbando candidate, but I surely did not expect the Isekai twist. It might be interesting to see a situation where it's not the MC that's Isekai'd, but the villain they're dealing with (Yumiella doesn't count cuz she's the MC, and we see through her POV). Hopefully, they do much with that.

There was one I read a year or so back, Both the Hero and Villain were Isekais. The Villainesse just noped the heck out right away and went off to do her own thing, and the Heroine found their whole story line derailed with out her and was trying to force things back on track, leading of course to the two reversing roles as hero and villain.

Episode 5 Scarlet delivers a beatdown to Godwin seeing that she doesn't believe that Terenezza was isekaied, but even with all that damage, Godwin manages to put a bullet through Julius as that pendant Terenezza gave him kept him alive. But Julius survived that bullet, and with that Godwin and his cronies are behind bars. As it turns out, there's a war between religions as Dianism and Palmiaism are at odds with each other, and Terenezza gives Godwin a poison to kill himself. Palmiaism is the official religion of the land, but one that's more about the corrupt elites than the citizens. And then Scarlet meets up with Rosa and Envi, two friends from Scarlet's days at the academy. And once more, Scarlet says the show's title as there's another guy whose ass she wants to kick, so I look forward to seeing that go down. So there's a battle of religion here as bad things usually happen when religions clash the way it's happening in this show. And from the look of things, Scarlet is also reincarnated with Diana being the one granting her a new life in this work the same way Palmia did for Terenezza. Whether or not that's the case remains to be seen.

Wasn't a fan of her hair turning black (unless it's an excuse to go the hot spring like the Prince said), everything else was fun. I like how she pretty much assumed (hoped?) the prince was dead after taking the bullet. Need more Terrenezza, who I guess is going to follow the "I was isekaid and given powers/gifts? Now I can become a murderer like I always wanted" route.

@HOOfan_1 I don't watch many sports anime :P The dictionary gives me this which seems pretty close. むきりょくじあい 無気力 試合 mukiryouku jiai literally unmotivated match Noun 1. match in which one side deliberately underperforms (e.g. losing in order to face a favourable opponent in the next round)Sports

Episode 6 Scarlet is summoned by the saint Diana as she's about to embark on a pilgrimage and wants Scarlet to accompany her. Given the religious tensions going on between Dianism and Palmianism that naturally there's going to be a lot of thugs after her life. So Scarlet travels to the kingdom, but the pope Sargon blocks the way, while his servant Jarmov attacks only to get her ass kicked by Scarlet. Then Scarlet meets up with Diana, who also goes by the name Sanya. And then comes the ritual, and right on cue the Palmianism punks attack and Scarlet is out to take down the foes standing in her way. Once again, Scarlet shows why it's always a bad idea to get on her bad side as things don't end well for those who do.
