| While we lost a good amount of our community with the shutdown of the Crunchyroll forums, one thing I discussed passionately about is the Fate/Grand Order smartphone game that's free to play, but to participate in certain summoning events you need to spend some money to buy Saint Quartz. In any case, I decided to bring the discussion back even though talk has tapered off since then. Just a few rules about this thread: 1. As is the case with the previous thread on Crunchyroll, this is for discussion of the English version only as it is two years behind the Japanese server. 2. Please keep spoilers and story content in the game to a minimum. Feel free to discuss your lineup of servants, upcoming and current events, how difficult certain quests are, and your adventures in playing them. But please try and not discuss the story if you don't need to. 3. You are encouraged to post photos, but keep it to at most two per post. 4. Any Fate franchise-related news can be discussed here (again without spoilers and what not), regardless of whether or not it pertains to Fate/Grand Order. So it has been five and a half years since the game launched in North America (and 7.5 in Japan), and this game is still very much going strong. While being two years behind means having to wait for the most recent stuff out of Japan to come out, it also allows us to plan ahead as to who we want to use our SQ for knowing full well which servants are worthwhile to roll for and which ones are nothing more than waifu or husbando bait. In a couple of days, it will be the New Year's event, and Murasame will be the featured servant during this campaign. Every New Year and anniversary event (the latter happening every year on July 4) feature a GSSR event that started out costing 30 paid SQ (the only time where paid and free SQ matters), but has since been cut in half to 15 paid SQ. So I'm looking forward to testing out my luck. Also, with the Christmas event just ending that I managed to farm enough lotto items to clear the board 114 times. It's quite a huge help that now you can spin 100 times in one go to make things easier on my present box, as well as allowing me to quickly run through the lottery needing only to spin three times per board rather than 30. Also, I was looking forward to watching Fate/Strange Fake on New Year's Eve, but that has been delayed. |
| I never knew there was a dedicated thread to that game on the Crunchyroll forums. Then again, I never went through the Games section of the forum community. I'm actually a regular on the game's board at GameFAQs. It's been a little over three years since I started, and even though it was around the time the Babylonia anime was running, that was not the direct reason I decided to pick up the game; in fact, I've never even watched the anime to this day. No, comments about the anime actually led me to pokedude900's YouTube playthrough of the game, and that was what sealed the deal. My early favorite 5* Servants are the ones who I call the Rin sisters: Ishtar and Ereshkigal from Babylonia. I have quite a few images on my laptop of both of them together; in fact, my profile picture happens to be one of those images. I have a Support setup of First 5* Servants, even though it is not set for people to choose. Anyway, on that list are the following Servants: All (first 5* meta supporter): Scathach-Skadi (from LB2) Saber: Ryougi Shiki (from the KnK event) Archer: Ishtar Lancer: Ereshkigal Rider: Francis Drake (my first 5* ever) Caster: Xuanzang Sanzang Assassin: Mysterious Heroine X (from the Saber Wars events) Berserker: Xiang Yu (from LB3) Extra: Qin Shi Huang (also from LB3) |

| Today was supposed to be the day Fate/Strange Fake was going to air, but production delays have pushed it back. It's now going to air sometime during the summer of 2023. Chances are, it will air around the anniversary of Fate/Grand Order, which would be in early August. |

 I ended up spending 330 SQ and 10 tickets for a total of 132 rolls, but I did get Muramasa, who I was saving up for. I'm still deciding as to which GSSR banner I will roll for, but I'm 99% sure which one it will be seeing that I don't have any of those girls on it. |
| The Saber Wars II rerun starts tomorrow, so which GSSR banner I draw from depends on if I get a second copy of Space Ishtar relatively quickly from the event banner. If I don't get a second copy, I'll draw from Red Extra 1 for a chance at getting her there. If I do get a second copy, I'll draw from Red Extra 2, which has Bunny Artoria and Jeanne Alter, two other Servants that I really would like to have. |

| After some thinking, I decided that I'll try and pull for NP2 Space Ishtar using a limited number of Saint Quartz first, then decide. While I'm still leaning towards Red Knights 1 seeing that I don't have any servants from that banner, I'm also considering pulling for the Red Extras 1 as well. After that, I can just about save up for the anniversary event seeing that there's no other servants until then I need to go all-in for. Of course, I will still spend a few for event CEs, but I'm saving up to bring home Koyanskaya of Light. |

| A new animation short series is out on Youtube called Fate/Grand Order: Ritsuka Fujimaru Doesn't Get It. Episodes are two minutes long. Anyway, quite a lot has happened for me since the last time I posted. I chose the Red Knights 1 banner for my GSSR knowing that I'm guaranteed to get a new servant on that banner, and I ended up getting Ereshkigal. Then came the Little Big Tengu event where I decided to do two summon packs mostly for CEs, and while I failed to draw the 5-star CE, I did get Ushiwakamaru Avenger. And now, it's the middle of the second Grail Front event with the Valentine's Day event coming up. Between now and the 6th anniversary event, there's Valentine's Day event featuring Caren, a rerun of last year's Valentine's Day event, Akihabara Explosion featuring Galatea, Grail Live featuring Miss Crane and the welfare servant Mysterious Idol X, and the rerun of last year's summer event, and it's a good thing there aren't any SSR servants I need to summon for until then since my stash of Saint Quartz took a big hit attempting to summon for a second copy of Space Ishtar. From the look of things, Lostbelt 6 is going to be released earlier than in JP seeing that the countdown campaign is on and runs through the end of March, while in Japan it was released in June. Remember that the next Lostbelt has two parts to it with the second part expected sometime this fall. |

| Just after breezing through the Grail Front event to get my Holy Grail, it's time for this year's Valentine's Day event. Once again, the Grail Front was ridiculously easy for those with a Berserker unit deployable as Hercules with his bond CE is quite a big asset, and of course the trick is to use all servant slots seeing that the low-rarity servants make useful decoys, if nothing else. As for the Valentine's Day event, I did limited summoning to primarily get the CEs and I ended up getting two copies of the 5-star event CE, one of the 4-star CE, and three of the 3-star CE spending 60 Saint Quartz and 10 tickets. I won't have another must-summon servant until the anniversary event, so I have the opportunity to save up since I really need to do that. Next order of business is to decide who gets the special chocolate that gives them extra attack power and bond points for the duration of the event. |
| With the Valentine's Day event over, soon it will be the men's time to shine with the annual White Day event, which was just announced on social media to start on Friday. This time the story has a phantom thief motif (think Lupin) and features Amakusa Shirou, one of the Rulers featured in Apocrypha. |

| This year's Valentine's Day event was short and sweet, and I ended up giving my super chocolates to Space Ishtar and Arjuna Alter. Going with Godjuna for the guys was an easy decision seeing that I have been using him for virtually every quest and I'm always looking to grail him up when the opportunity arises. As for the other I decided to go with Space Ishtar since I wanted to be able to get her to a high enough level so that I can unlock her NP append skill. In any case, I was able to bond Godjuna up to within 100K bond points of level 11, while Spishtar is just 30K away from level 10. I also got Nero Bride her level 10 bond CE seeing that I used her to farm after wrapping up the main event. And as I have said before, there's no must-have servant for me to summon before the anniversary event, so I only did a limited number of summons in order to get the event CEs as I'm stockpiling Saint Quartz after the disaster I experienced with the last Christmas event. Between now an the anniversary event, there's the upcoming White Day event that starts on Friday, then Akihabara, Grail Live, and last year's summer rerun event with the release of first half of Lostbelt 6 sandwiched in between. It is around this time when Lasengle took control of development and aren't doing reruns at the rate Delight Works did. |
| The White Day event just ended, and the Akihabara event is just around the corner where the featured new servant is Galatea. While I did clear the shop, it didn't do so until the last day of the event as I didn't grind away like I have done in most events in the past as there are no bond exp bonuses this time around. In any case, it was a quick and easy event that had an entertaining story. Next year's White Day event is when Godjuna makes is return after not being available for over two years since being introduced, and depending on my supply of Saint Quartz, I'm looking to get him to NP2. As for the gacha, I only did a 11-pack and used 20 tickets for the White Day event and managed to get a copy of all but one of the 5-star CEs, and I used my free event CE to get that. Anyway, I'm not planning to draw for Galatea, but this is an opportunity to get an NP2 Nero Bride, so I'm definitely tempted here seeing that I invested quite a lot in her. After that it's Grail Live, the release of the next Lostbelt, and the rerun of last year's summer event, and there's nobody between now and the Anniversary event on Independence Day that I will go all-in to get. |
| The Akihabara Explosion event just ended, and it was something that was in the same format as the Pagoda and Amazoness.com event, though this time I took things much slower since there are no free quests to farm, and not to mention I wanted to make sure I give as many bond points to my preferred servants as possible. And it's a good thing that I didn't have much use for the event CEs during the event, so I didn't spend any Saint Quartz this time around. Anyway, it's back to down time and the Grail Live event is up next. |
| I'm a little peeved right now. As I mentioned before, I'm a regular on this game's board at GameFAQs. Last week I saw the new event's announcement on Facebook, and I quickly set up a discussion thread for it on GameFAQs. Not one minute later, someone else does the exact same thing. My gripe is that despite me making the first thread, it seems everyone's congregating on the other one. As for the event itself, I didn't get any new Servants this morning aside from the welfare, but I did get my real target: the event's 5* CE, Flower Sunshine, because it has the Rin sisters on it. EDIT: I used ten Tickets tonight and ended up getting Miss Crane, the new 5* Caster, on a double-sided card. |

| With that, the Grail Concert event has ended. I only did one pack of Saint Quartz summons this time around and got what I wanted with one five-star CE, three copies of the four-star CE, and one of the three-star CEs through friend point summons. Given the number of stud five-star casters I already had that I wasn't going to draw until I got Miss Crane. And in the meantime, Arjuna Alter is back and much sooner than expected as he wasn't scheduled to return until next year's White Day event. Having drawn him already when he first dropped at the anniversary event two years ago, I decided to go get NP2 Godjuna, and 120 Saint Quartz and 10 tickets later for a total of 55 summons, my Godjuna is now NP2. And now, there's no more gacha draws until the anniversary event in two months, and based on the amount of Saint Quartz expected between now and July 4, I should have enough to be guaranteed a copy of Koyanskaya. |

| Just got through with everything in last year's Summer rerun event with a week left of down time to farm for bond points and QP with me sitting on hundreds of apples. Lostbelt 6 is just around the corner, and there's the Nero Fest coming earlier than usual. Anyway, I'm continuing to stockpile Saint Quartz for the anniversary event that's coming in just over a month. Morgan is coming before that, but I'm planning to pass on that banner since another one is coming not long after the anniversary event and I'm prioritizing getting Koyanskaya. |
| Tonight is when the long-awaited release of Lostbelt 6 is going to be announced. Looking forward too finally be able to continue on with the story as this Lostbelt is infamously difficult compared to the first five Lostbelts. |
| First part of Lostbelt 6 is out now, while the second part is coming two weeks later. Then another two weeks later it will be the anniversary event. Looks like Oberon might arrive before the anniversary event, but based on the JP calendar his summoning campaign comes when the third and final part arrives. In any case, I'm prioritizing Koyanskaya and I'll wait on Morgan since I'll have another chance to summon her after the anniversary event and it will all depend on how much SQ I have left after the anniversary event |

| Just one more week until the 6th anniversary event, and I'm diligently playing through the second part of Lostbelt 6. It's quite a great story, and if Aniplex is to make an anime adaptation of only one of the Lostbelts, this would be it. In any case, I have been saving up my Saint Quartz and by the time the anniversary event drops, I'm expected to have around 1150 SQ and 50 tickets to roll for Koyanskaya and Oberon a week later. So I'm guaranteed to draw Koyanskaya, and that puts me at about a 95% chance of getting both of my targeted servants. And I'm planning to roll on the Year 6 Four Horsemen banner for the GSSR as I would be thrilled with any of those servants, even if it means getting Castoria or Taira at NP2. |

| And the last part of Lostbelt 6 is finally out, which means going up against Cernunnos, who is undoubtedly the toughest boss in the game up to this point. Castoria has quite an interesting story there, all while it's awfully chaotic just when it looked like things had settled down a bit. In the meantime, I expect Oberon to come out next week, which provides me a chance to stockpile more Saint Quartz after spending so much that I don't have enough to get Oberon on pity, which I'm hoping won't be the case when the time comes. |

| So in the end, I spent 630 Saint Quartz to get Koyanskaya the sniper, which is the most I have spent on a single banner. I'm hoping that the Oberon draw won't be as brutal when he arrives next week, but I'm just short of hitting pity with the SQ and tickets I have left. And as for the GSSR, I went with the year 6 cavalry banner and ended up with Taira, meaning that I have Ushivenger at NP2. |

| I spent quite a lot of my Saint Quartz, but I got both Koyanskaya and Oberon, just as I planned. So to recap, here are the 4-star and 5-star servants I got for my summons. Koyanskaya (630 SQ) Caenis (x3, now NP3) Valkyrie (x2 now NP3) Wu Zetian (now NP2) Astraea (now NP2) Lakshmi Bai Hercules (now NP3) Medusa Caster Gil (now NP3) Qin Liangyu (now NP2) Vritra Koyanskaya GSSR (15 Paid SQ) Watanabe (now NP3) Taira (now NP2) Oberon (240 SQ, 40 tickets) Gawain (x2, now NP2) Barghest Baobhan Sith Tamamo no Mae Oberon  And with the free Habetrot for finishing Lostbelt 6, that means I got a total of 11 new servants (Koyanskaya, Oberon, Tamamo, Vritra, Caenis, Lakshmi, Medusa, Gawain, Barghest, Baobhan, and Habenyan) since the anniversary event, spending a total of 870 free SQ, 15 paid SQ, and 40 tickets to get them all. With all these new servants, my present box that was flooded with EXP cards from the Christmas event and monthly Fous has really thinned out, and I still need to power up all my servants that I drew from the Oberon banner as well. And with Tamamo on-board that it narrows down the possibilities for my free 5-star servant as right now I'm leading towards either Ozy or Drake since I'm lacking in 5-star riders. I'm also considering the original Artoria as well, while Tamamo is no longer in consideration. In any case, I got quite a lot of new servants just these past two weeks, and I'm now running low on EXP cards just when I had a hard time making room in my present box not too long ago. |

So since the beginning of the month, I have ten new acquisitions: four from the GSSR (Columbus, Hessian Lobo, Cleopatra, and First Hassan), Caenis from the Anniversary banner, Habetrot for clearing LB6 (who I've already got to NP5), Oberon and Gawain from the Great Pretender's banner, Jeanne from the 5* Ticket, and Barghest today. |

| Tonight is the stream for the 8th anniversary on the JP server, and Aniplex of America is streaming it. Looks like there's a big announcement coming to the NA server. It's no secret that Lasanga is none too pleased about the clairvoyance and what not. So far, there are banners that are spawning at points that don't line up with the Japanese release schedule. Just announced yesterday, three of the summer servants as Chloe, Suzuka, and Castoria will be getting summer versions with Castoria being the new SSR servant. Rumor on the street that the 8th anniversary new servant is U-Olga Marie. In any case, it's going to be quite a big deal as it usually is. |
| If the "big NA server announcement" is what I think it is, then the announcement came early on the in-game news and social media, as Grand Nero Fest starts on Monday. It's actually a rerun of the second major lotto event, not that it matters to me since I didn't start when this event first ran. And I'm seeing clips from the stream already on YouTube, as if it's already happened, so why are the social media channels saying the stream is tonight? Unless they plan on doing the stream with English subtitles or something. |

| Nero Fest is onto the second round, and the last time Nero Fest was held, I didn't have Merlin, while game-changing servants like Castoria, Godjuna, and Koyanskaya were not released. That all happened four years ago as since then there has been the Gil Fest, Gil Fest rerun, and Schatach Fest. The challenge quests really gave me a hard time back then, but this time around they are a piece of cake now that I have Castoria and Merlin that can keep my servants going for as long as needed, all while I have several different strong servants to fit the situation. In any case, I have been farming away like crazy as usual, and so far I have enough petals to clear the roulette prize board 20 times, all while I bought everything I want from the shop save for the meteor Fous that I can't purchase until I clear the main event. Seeing that I'm missing the 5-star event CE that I decided to use tickets to summon and see if I can get it, and I ended up getting Caster Nero from it, as well as Astraea at NP4. The farming continues seeing that I now have a whopping 11 new servants since the anniversary event that wiped out my supply of EXP cards, and I still haven't decided on my free SSR servant yet. And in the meantime, the Japanese server announced Aesc as the anniversary servant, who is an alternate version of Morgan. Also, a new GSSR was introduced called Destiny Order that is a create your own GSSR in which you pick the SSR servants you want from each of nine classes, and one of them will be randomly chosen to add to your Chaldea for a cost of 30 paid SQ. I have two years to think about it, but if I am to take part I will need to buy some more SQ since I only have enough to get me through the 2025 New Year's lucky bag summoning campaign if I were to continue participating in them. |
| Just 24 hours left to go for Nero Fest, and I just completed the last challenge quest, while clearing the shop and having enough petals to clear the board 100 times. I can spend the last day focusing on farming for lottery spins now that everything is finished. The last challenge quest I finished was the one with First Hassan, and that was quite a difficult quest seeing that he will instantly kill one of my servants when using his NP. But the key to this was Skadi as her NP provides resistance against instant death. So after a stall job, I hit him hard to clear it. It's a great thing I can spin 100 at a time now for the lottery now which makes things much easier on my present box. |
Hunting Quests are now going on, but the real surprise today is a new GSSR catering to new players, although veterans can take part as well. This banner costs 12 paid SQ, a small discount from normal GSSR banners, and the guaranteed pool is all the limited Part 1 5* Servants. I got Scathach from the banner. |

And with that, the Hunting Quests have ended, and it's a week of down time before the summer event begins. In the meantime, I have been grinding, enhancing, and all that other stuff while stockpiling my Saint Quartz. There's no servant between now and the New Year's event that I'm going all-in like I did with Koyanskaya and Oberon, but I am doing CE summons for the summer event. Anyway, I did my NA-exclusive GSSR and ended up with Okita, which is a servant I don't have. That gives me three ST Sabers of different metas with Nero Bride for Arts, Musashi for Buster, and now Okita for Quick, as well as the Arts AOE Muramasa. | And now, it's the summer event that's on and I was going to do a limited number of roles as not only was my supply of Saint Quartz depleted by those draws for Koyanskaya and Oberon, but I didn't have the need to get any of the summer servants. But I was aiming to collect all of the CEs, and I ended up spending 210 SQ overall. But yeah, it didn't exactly go well. While I did get a 5-star and two 4-stars, the five-star was Enkidu, making him NP2, and my two 4-stars were Chiron and Caster Gil. And there were two ten-pack draws that didn't even get me a single event CE or servant. I used to have better luck, but it looks like I just used it all up or something. |
| Today is the last day of the summer event, and I must say it was certainly an underwhelming one compared to the previous summer events, largely because there was quite a lot of story content to go through, more so than I remember from previous summer events. Not to mention, the farming wasn't exactly as straightforward as the other events seeing that I really needed to farm in order to get all the treasure point awards. Seeing that it happened during a busy time for me that I wasn't able to farm it as much as I wanted to, but I did at least get everything save for the monuments from the event shop. And not to mention, while I wasn't planning to use much of my Saint Quartz for this event, it took me more rolls than usual to get a copy of every event CE, and I got none of the event servants. I wasn't planning on splurging for this even after the Koyanskaya and Oberon draws depleted my supply, but I got numerous instances where not a single event servant or CE was among my summons. Good thing there's nothing I want until the New Year's event, but even so it looks like I just about used up all my luck and now need to start saving for pity for the one servant I really want. |
| It only took me two multis to get all the female event CE's from the first female banner, but I had to go through six multis and 20 Tickets for all the male event ones on the first male banner. Got NP2 Achilles and NP3 Circe in the process. On the second female banner, I did two multis, and the second one (which I did purely on a whim) yielded Summer Caenis. Then yesterday I got Summer Sei off a single Ticket. I'm not touching the second male banner. |

| I got quite a lot of interludes and rank-up quests to go through, which is welcomed after the summer event's disastrous gacha pulls. And after completing all of them, I have extra Saint Quartz as I begin to replenish what I had lost, hopefully getting enough so that I can get the other Koyanskaya on pity. Normally, I'd be playing until I drain my AP, but I'm taking my time here for a change seeing that I have been busy with other things. |
| The Halloween event just wrapped up, and I was able to get everything after a slow start to the event. Got my Cindereli, cleared the event shop, got all rewards for the Cinderella, Snow White, and Red Riding Hood points. I ended up using 60 SQ and 10 tickets, getting Zenovia, one copy of the 5-star CE, three of the 4-star CE, and three of the 5-star CE. Next up is the rerun of last year's Gudaguda event, where I'm about to use up all my FP that I had been stockpiling. |
