| As gentle as this show is, it's still one of my favorites and I save it for last on Sundays. This episode brought us a nice payoff in an Uncle-Scrooge-size ball pit of opals and some definitely fetching Nagi outfits. |
| Episode 10 Nagi is too busy with other stuff, so it's just Ruri, Yoko, and Shoko who embark on a journey to follow the abandoned railroad tracks seeing that there's a lot of precious metals that get dropped when the mine was active, and they were right. They found manganese along the way, but then they encounter a dead end when the mine got caved in. However, they were able to find something even better in rhodochrosite. Once again, it's a nice history lesson there as times changed when a typhoon and increased demand for steel led to the mines being abandoned. |

| Episode 11 It's back to mining more sapphires after a breakthrough clue as it comes in the form of calcite, and once again without Nagi as she is in America to attend a minerology conference. After finding some in the mining samples, Ruri, Yoko, and Shoko head back to the site where it came from to find the host rock. After Yoko applies some HCl to find calcite since it bubbles up, Ruri follows the leads and finds a giant wall with sapphires embedded in them behind a wall of ivy. Quite the discovery Ruri made there as she finds a bunch of her favorite gem there, and there was no question that she was going to take earth science as her elective course in school. |
| The way these girls keep finding troves of gemstones. A wading pool full of opals; a cliff packed with sapphires - I keep expecting a cave full of diamonds and seven short dudes singing "Hi-HO!" If nothing else, Ruri and Shoko should have their University tuition covered by now. Although if not, there's always the option of an OnlyFans account. |
