| Dark had a much larger 'grand scheme of things' feel to it. The whole theme of the cycle repeating over and over was really crazy. S;G is easily my favourite anime, but Dark takes this one. Really good stuff. |

In my opinion Steins Gate is wayyy better than Dark, I actually still couldn't finish the fibal episode of Dark, since the "plottwists" and the story in general just seemed too ridiculous and "forced" to me (your opinion might be completely different and that's totally fine). So regarding that aspect I think Steins Gate is better, but if you only ficus on the time travelling plot, I think Dark is simply more complex and introduces more "ideas" and possibilities how time travelling works than Steins Gate. Still I think that you can't really compare these two shows if you only focus on one single aspect, since Steins Gate's story explores the psychological and emotional issues that come with time travelling in a greater depth than Dark. |

| Steins;Gate is more character oriented than a high concept time travel story like (which is Dark) I like Steins;Gate better, but Dark is also one of my favourite shows. None of them executed the time travel part without errors though, unironically they have similar inconsistencies around the end of their story.
