| I don't hate anyone, but there are a few in the show I could say highly negative things about. In real life, I don't hate anyone unless they've done something deliberately to harm me personally and is cruel for no reason, and in Higurashi I kind of feel the same, that I don't dislike anyone if they have a good/reasonable motive for their actions. I don't dislike/hate Takano because she had a logical motive fueled by a grand ambition for her actions. It wasn't just wanton cruelty for its own sake. I love all the club members, and anything vicious they did to their friends/loved ones can be attributed to the parasite's manipulation (Hinamizawa syndrome). I do highly dislike Teppei (Satoko's uncle), the scam artist Rina, and those thugs in child Takano's orphanage as people, because to me their actions constitute a clear example of disgusting excessive cruelty for no good reason. I still wouldn't say I "hate" them though since I like them as characters and enjoy watching them and their antics. |

| Satoko -and no, even before Gou/Sotsu- because: - She's annoying in the earlier arcs - I can't stand her laugh - Altough tragic, the Teppei arc is my least favorite arc in the series. Also didn't help that we got to see the same arc in 3 different seasons - The rest of the club I like more overall Idk, I never liked seeing her on the screen. I enjoyed that Shion scene with the cross >:) |
