Did the story just forget haru until the end?

I thought it was gonna be a story focusing on haru but the later episodes just completely forgot and threw haru into the dump. Except for in the end where suddenly rikuo loves her, of course.
I honestly had trouble sitting through the last 3 episodes because I just wanted to punch shinako in the face and tell rikuo to pull himself together. I really liked it in the beginning because I loved haru and rikuo’s friendship even if it wasn’t gonna be romantic. Going into it I didn’t realize it was gonna be domekano ver.2

lol that's why I think the ratings went so low.
the last few episodes were all centered to the development of the relationship of Rikuo and Shinako but they just destroyed it with one episode.

Well it certainly became boring in the end
I couldn't even understand what's happening and why are they breaking up,
Main problem I have if they wanted nanako to be the heroin than they didn't she got more screen time and char development

Afterall it was just an lame ok experience

Yes because they tried to complete the whole manga with just a few episodes + it was originally planned to have 18 episodes
