I lol'd. A picture is worth a thousand words, huh? And yeah I am taking my time. You see when I have two choices, writing reviews or My Balls, the reviews aren't going to get done for a while. Sorry, but that's just the way it is. Hey wait... |

Check his profile, you should see "Groovy Corner. Entry 1: Umisho". It's also an amazing review. I do indeed think I may consider watching the show (since I already seemed to have expressed interest in it, according to a list of shows I haven't gotten around to). XP |

Alright, awesome reviews and you won me on Kaze no Stigma. Keep it up because you have aunique way of presenting the series and I like that! Problem -- where can I get some quality KnS fansubs? Animesuki doesn't have more than 4 episodes. |

I thought kaze was ok, and i liked that the guy was tough ...most of the time. It got a little tiresome toward the end tho, just constant arrogance and over poweredness..its like going from one extreme of anime dudes to the other. After so much you are kinda like 'Can he stop being an overbearing prick for just a little while?' |

DazarGaidin said: I thought kaze was ok, and i liked that the guy was tough ...most of the time. It got a little tiresome toward the end tho, just constant arrogance and over poweredness..its like going from one extreme of anime dudes to the other. After so much you are kinda like 'Can he stop being an overbearing prick for just a little while?' First, Kazuma's arrogance was caused by the treatment he got from his family for his entire life. Finally when he became powerful they suddenly began to respect him. Well you know what, f-ck that. If it was me, I wouldn't save their asses in that 1st arc, I'd let all those bastards die. His mother astonished me the most "I could have been proud of you if you weren't so weak". WHAT_DA_F-CK? Get your priorities straight woman, he's your son for Christs sake. He's arrogance is more then justified and if he weren't arrogant the anime wouldn't been as good as it is. There are too many bitch characters out there, who forgive everything and act like pussies. Remember that he was never arrogant with people that did him no harm or helped him, remember how he put himself on the line for his little brother? Or how he helped and basically saved Misao? He didn't show any disrespect for Kirika either. He only showed it when he wanted to show it, when he needed to show it, like in the beginning of the 2nd arc when he is intentionally arriving late to the Kannagi dinner he was invited to, to express his "Well look at ya, first you kicked me out of the family and now you invite me for dinner? Well fuck you very much, I don't care about you, and I show it by disrespecting you with being late for dinner" which is again, very justified. He doesn't show any arrogance towards Catherine McDonald either. But let's say that you're right and that he is arrogant (and he is, just not to the extent you say), all his arrogance is just for show, he in fact cares for everyone and always does the best thing. He tries to save people he cares for, he didn't kill his father when he had the chance to do so (I know I would.), He didn't kill those guards that tried to stop him when he visited the Kannagi house for the first time after he came back. He didn't kill Misao's brother and that other guy when they came accusing him for crimes he didn't commit. He's good natured no matter how look at it. What different is that he's realistic, he doesn't care about enemies, he remembers grudges basically in other words, he has personality which is a rarity among lead characters. Second, I don't know what "poweredness" means and I tried to google it, but it seems that this word does not exist, if you made a grammar mistake or something, you can fix yourself and I'll be more then happy to reply. |

Errr, man you post some hostile threads. I found the characters arrogance, for whatever reason, tiresome after so much of it. I also found it kinda boring that he was over powered (im guessing you are smart enough to figure out what i meant, but chose to take a dig at me cause it was there to take). Although not as extreme, it gave me the same feeling as the Superman syndrome. He can do anything, no real problems. Terrible problem, hit the wind mage button. Solved. That said, i found his cockiness/arrogance/jerkiness refreshing early on, and for the justifications cited, certainly within the realm of reason. Just kinda got tired of it by the end. I liked the show, that was just the 2 things that bugged me about it, and i think if changed woulda made it better for me. For me. Read: opinion. For instance, i might have enjoyed the show more if he was a little weaker/or end opponents were a little more challenging (or he needed the other people around him more..like the girl whom he stifled beneath his awesomeness), and if after reconciling with his family to whatever degree (particularly his father) he dropped some of the arrogance (because afterall, he is a good natured guy at heart). |

I skimmed Groove's spoiler but I didn't see anything hostile. Just in case I missed it because I skimmed, what did you think was hostile in there? Over poweredness is most likely a funny way to say overpowered(as in too powerful). |

DazarGaidin My post indeed carried a certain amount of hostility but you must understand, in no way did I mean to offend you, I'd say that I'm even more angry at the situation Kazuma is in then you, but I did get overzealous as I sometimes do when it comes to my favorites, and only with people that I care and respect them and their opinions. I censored my posts 3 times in order to make it the least offending that I could. (To emphasize the magnitude of the censorship, the first version of the reply started with line "This statement + sola = you know shit about anime") But I guess the post turned out to be offending anyway and I'm truly sorry. It was not my intent to be rude or start a fight or anything else for that matter. My only intent was to pass my point of view unto you, and I just happened to do so in a somewhat hostile way (i.e. I wasn't writing a hostile reply on purpose, it's just sorta turned out this way). This being said. First of all, you must be asking yourself why was I mad at the situation Kazuma was in? You see for me, there is no higher value then family. Friends, girlfriend, anything goes straight out the window when my family is at stake. The betrayer of a family is something that my mind is not able to apprehend. Being kicked out from the family, by me is one of the worst thing that can happen to a man, let alone child that he was. I certainly justify his rude behavior towards his family, moreover I think he hasn't done enough to get back at them, but that's just me. DazarGaidin said: I also found it kinda boring that he was over powered (im guessing you are smart enough to figure out what i meant, but chose to take a dig at me cause it was there to take). Although not as extreme, it gave me the same feeling as the Superman syndrome. He can do anything, no real problems. Terrible problem, hit the wind mage button. Solved. Well, the truth is that I kinda knew it was overpowered but I wasn't sure about it.. Again, I wrote what I wrote without any intention of "digging at you". So, the truth is that I absolutely love the overpowered aspect. I love leads that show the antagonists who calls the shots. And after all, there are not so many of those types, without giving it any thought I can only name one besides Kazuma and that is Alucard, though I can certainly understand why you didn't like it. You wanted from the show unpredictable action, while I wanted Kazuma's sarcastic jokes, Kazuma kicking butts, Kazuma's struggle with his past, Kazuma's and Ayano's relationship. Action was just something extra in the show for me, it added flavor but it wasn't the main dish. For instance, i might have enjoyed the show more if he was a little weaker/or end opponents were a little more challenging (or he needed the other people around him more..like the girl whom he stifled beneath his awesomeness), I already referred to him being weaker in the previous paragraph. Now about the poor little girl he stifled beneath his awesomeness. First, yes, Kazuma is awesome :P. Second, the thing is, Ayano is tsundere, and the only way to counter tsundere is being tsundere yourself. Third, he cared about her, he knew that someday she will have to take lead and for that she has to be strong both physically and mentally (and she wasn't, in either aspects). I think he loved her since the first arc when he saw her using the blue flame. All of his actions can be justified by him wanting to train her, or just teasing her, because after all he is a bigger tsundere then she is, and the bigger one wins. In many occasions he sarcastically pointed out that she's being stupid, but that's because she was, but then again, who trained her to best use her powers and not just rush with her sword into middle of everything? Who intentionally didn't release his full powers just to let her make the finishing blow so that she won't feel useless? Who is the one that even though making fun of her all the time, increased her self confidence by telling her on more then one occasion that he needs her help (even though on some of them he in fact didn't need it)? You can say that Kazuma is being mean to lots of people, but Ayano is certainly not one of them. and if after reconciling with his family to whatever degree (particularly his father) he dropped some of the arrogance (because afterall, he is a good natured guy at heart). Thing is, he never reconciled. In no way should you see the fact of him not finishing his father is an act of reconciliation. He just works for Kannagi as he would for any other rich customer, and he's making hell lot of money. In fact, even though it's more of a pointless fan talk, I don't think he will ever reconcile with them. I see him marrying Ayano and her becoming the next leader of Kannagi but not him. I don't see him taking his last name back, I don't see him living in that big house of theirs, I don't see him forgiving all those years of looking down upon him. Again, crazy fan talk with nothing to back it up with except that impression I get from Kazuma. |

You hardly address DazarGaidin until the last paragraph which is just asking for clarification on what a word means so that you can give a proper response. Maybe he meant the cursing? I say if someone has never cursed at or because of an anime, they're watching the wrong stuff. lol |

The tone of his post was hostile, as if he was angry, I am surprised you couldn't get that hajime :P lol But it doesn't matter, cause this is the internet, and i rarely take it seriously even if they do. None of this crap is gonna matter in 5 years or 500. I just think its a waste for him to get so mad about it, its not like my opinion matters either. Whats ironic is we disagree on some things about it but we both like the show lol :P I think it was terrible what his family did to him. He should be mad. That being said, i think despite his outward apparent disdain for that family, i think he truly did comes to grips, at least with his father. I mean the whole spa episode. As you said he is tsundere.."Ooo i hate you and never will forgive!" but I'll repeatitively save your family...but only cause i need the money! Yeah thats it.." Him 'working' for the family...if he truly hated them he wouldn't work for them, no matter the money. Its like they both accept this scenario to protect his pride, but he really wants to help them and they (especially the grandfather, kid brother, girl and father) want him back. I think he does love the girl, and that was actually my favorite part of the show. I'm a romance lover more than action :P I do enjoy the mix of these though. I guess i was kinda looking for them to work more together and needing each other rather than him gracing her with a killing blow or taking her under his mighty wing to make her a stronger person. I think its better when they both develop, have vulnerabilities, etc. Like i said, i think it woulda been better with this but its still good the way it is. THe show is the way it is :P I guess you could make the argument that because he was so strong, he had every right to feel superior and act accordingly. I just wish it wasn't so throughout the whole show. |

Ah? What are you talking about, I wasn't reviewing Evangelion, just wrote a bunch of stuff that makes an anime a crappy one. But since you touched the subject, yes Evangelion is a complete disasterpiece. I'm not sure if the act of boiling oil being poured down your throat by the holy inquisition is more or less enjoyable then watching Eva, but they can surely compete. Make yourself a favor and never watch another episode again. ^_^ Edit: You know, there is a theory that's saying that back in 1937 when Lucio Bini and Ugo Cerletti tried to find replacement for metrazol, they found out that both electroshock and watching an episode of Eva get the job done, finally they decided to go with electroshock as a more humane solution. |
