The innuendo was quickly cleared once Alice got up and tried to start building what Thaslil imagined to be a base of some sort, like the ones he did as a child. He got up from the bed and went towards Alice. "Wait, Alice. You can sleep in my room, but you don't need to sleep on the floor. You can use the fluffy bed, and I'll sleep on the floor, okay? I use the bed all the time, but you probably haven't ever slept in one of those, right? And I wouldn't let a girl sleep on the floor while I am comfy on my bed." |

And you and you must both be there!" Alice was protesting against Thaslil's idea. And her idea seemed to involve both Thaslil and Aldbrit. Alice shivered her voice: "But... If ... You ... Don't ... Want ... To?.." There was something ominous about this last sentence and each word was making her high spirits go down. If it was followed by a too long silence from Thaslil's part, her eyes would turn soggy. |

She seemed about to cry, and Thaslil had no problem with her plan, except for having to sleep alongside Alice, as it might be taken the wrong way... He quickly rushed over the table as Alice slowly said paused words and grabbed it while facing Alice with a smile. "Where did you want me to put this? In a corner, right?" In the end, Thaslil decided to help in her endeavour; it was not like he would do her any harm in the first place, so what's the problem of sleeping with her? He decided to ignore the obvious answer of 'common sense' for now. Thaslil would help Alice to do her 'fort', dragging anything she wanted along with it while not caring for the mess. |

And with the sovereign approval from Thaslil the political obstacles for starting he building project were cleared. It'd taken some time to finish but the end result was rather robust. With sheets as roof and ceilings, the mattress was used for it's fluffiness and pillows for comfort -- the effective area for sleeping had become very cramped. And she apparently wanted them both inside. "If we only had barbwire it'd be perfect but I think ... this would work! - Maybe." She started very confident but lost confidence almost immediately. The thought of dreaming was horrifying but she was at her limit on staying up. She'd have to go to sleep sooner or later. |

Alice seemed pleased with it, but Thaslil was thinking how they would sleep all together there... He quickly shrugged the question off of his mind for now, as Alice seemed to be losing confidence on their security systems and becoming rather worried, so Thaslil went up to her after finishing the work and put a hand on her shoulder. "Why would we need barbed wire when we have Aldbrit with us? I can guarantee you that nothing will enter this room while me and Ald are here, or it will quickly wish he didn't in the first place." Aldbrit bared his teeth in response, sharp like blades, before putting on a winky smiley to encourage Alice. ^-* Thaslil laughed at the sight, before grabbing one more pillow and putting it on ground besides the middle lf their fort. "You'll be fine, okay? We'll protect you. You can sleep in the middle, if you think that's best." If Alice agreed, he'd go on towards the left side, while Aldbrit would go towards the right one, both trying to occupy the least space possible so Alice could be more comfy. |

Alice looked at the fort with sparkling eyes. It was THE most awesome thing ever in her life. Which unfortunately wasn't a big achievement. "Thank you!! Alice nodded in approval at Thaslil's suggestion. At first she went in and tried to press herself against Aldbrit, but it gave her a sour face. "This isn't at all what I imagined that pets would be.. It's cold. It's hard.. Not warm and fuzzy..." Alice hid her face well from the two. "Tch.." She rolled towards Aldbrit and for once it actually made her feel slightly awkward - but only momentarily. As she had latched against the warm body of Thaslil, it was perfect. Like a monkey child that was hanging on it's mother - she wasn't going to let go. Her head was tightly pressed against Thaslil's chest. It was intuitive and a perfect example of the symbiotic parasitic relationship that sometimes always results in a numb arm. She then rubbed her face against the shirt that Thaslil was wearing. (I don't think Thaslil would go shirtless.) "This is perfect. Warm and fuzzy. Master makes so much better pet than the real pet. Maybe I'll keep this one." "Purrfect." That single word might have been Thaslil's worst fears incarnate. |

Latching onto Aldbrit first, she probably decided it wasn't comfy to grab a metal animal, and turned around to grab Thaslil. It was about the fifth or sixth time he went red today, but fortunately the day was ending and hopefully it would be the last. Sighing, Thaslil just accepted his fate while Alice said something in a catlike tone, which made the embarrassment go away and be replaced by happiness. "What was that? Haha! You sounded like a cat. Anyway, have a good night, Alice... Have sweet dreams..." Thaslil smiled at her, and would let Alice keep clinging onto him. Eventually, he fell asleep. |

But she had apparently passed out on that instant. It had been too comfortable. She might have for once a dream where the girl would not be haunted by horrific nightmares. But that could have been only wishful thinking. ((Enter the Sadistic Admin?)) Either way at least she had another person there now. After so many years, of avoiding sleep and being the lone survivor and person in solitude - surrounded by nothing else but the inhumane monsters spawned by darkness. |
| As Albrit kept watch, his sensors would blink for a moment, and in the corner of his vision were two white dots that were positioned as eyes. Though they were faint and hardly noticeable. In the dark corner of the room ((Because all the lamps and lights were focused on the corner fortress that Alice and Thaslil had made. From this position, it was impossible to tell if it was actually something or not. But if Albrit made any move, any signs that he was still active other than speaking real quietly, the lights would disappear silently. If he were to stare at it, he would become more and more convinced that someone or something was there. Watching. If Albrit paid very close attention to sounds, he could hear a faint and shallow breathing in addition to the two behind him. Though this breathing sounded very far away. For reasons unknown to them, Alice and Thaslil slept on edge. As if the slightest noise could wake them. If they woke up, the "eyes" would disappear before they could get a look at whatever it was. |

He kept looking forward, and suddenly two small white dots could be seen in a dark corner of the room. He stared at it silently, every one of his gears ready to rush at the invasor if he made the slightest move. However, none were made, and instead the only sign that it was alive was third breathing in the room. Since they were at opposite corners of the 'fort', Aldbrit couldn't call Thaslil without waking Alice too, and he considered that waking the girl up would make her even more paranoic. So, in complete silence, he stood watch for some time, eventually deciding to bare his teeth at the thing to get an reaction; it worked, since the eyes went away immediately after that. He kept vigilant the rest of the night, but nothing else happened. Hours after, Thaslil woke up slowly after a rather unpleasing night. Despite having his usual six hour sleep, he still felt tired. It was odd, but he attributed it to sleeping in such a cramped space and having Alice latched onto his arm. Giving Alice a look, he noticed she was still sleeping on his chest, and so he decided to stay laying down for about one and a half hour to not wake the girl up, having two small naps during this time. After that, he slowly poked Alice's cheek with a smile. "Hey, kitty, it is already morning. Time to wake up." He'd slowly poke Alice until she woke up. |

And certain someone was a morning person while the other one wasn't. Alice shivered in protest against the repulsive thought of waking up, especially since she, for some irritating reason wasn't able to fall asleep until very very late. "Mhmhmm... Wake me up when it is night." She mumbled in a hibernating voice. While naturally not having forgotten the clinging part. |

He'd poke her again, in hopes that she'd actually wake up in a near future. |

She appeared confused and wasn't quite sure why she had fallen asleep or what had even happened. Almost like dumbstruck she even wondered why she was so tightly pressed against Thaslil. She blinked without saying a word before she reversed all the progress and scrubbed her face again against Thaslil's shirt - probably to verify something. "Morning..." Alice sounded bit absent. Her sleepy brain was still processing things. Is this a dream or not? Alice looked around, like she was lost. "Is this a dream..?" Alice asked, looking at Thaslil. "... Or a nightmare?" turning her head at Aldbrit. She then looked out on the light coming from behind the curtains of the bed-fort. It might be also real... But if it's real... then why? |

At this point Thaslil had already exhausted his embarrassment gauge, so he simply shrugged off as normal the fact that a girl was tightly clinging to his arm and resting against his chest. Alice's sleepy voice made Thaslil chuckle: she really resembled a kitty in some ways. "Good morning, Alice. Did you sleep well?" He hoped that Alice had a good night of sleep, despite him being a little tired himself. "What do you want to do today, Alice?" Aldbrit stood quiet for now, not wanting to cause a ruckus about what happened at night while Alice could hear him. |

She shrugged her head, the two questions that Thaslil gave out felt like they were fast forwarded. But the girl was still able to understand what he asked after a moment of pause. "No scary dreams but..." Alice rubbed her eyes. "I feel weird and tired... I would just like to relax like this for all eternity. It would be nice to not think about dark ones. It is best when it's just fuzzy and warm. " |

"I see...Well, at least no scary dreams, huh? Looks like our fort worked then." Unsurprisingly, Thaslil already expected an answer of the sorts; he also noticed that she wasn't fearing sleep like yesterday. That made him wonder just how scary her nightmares were... "Well, we can always sleep the next night too, but staying like this forever would be kind of boring, wouldn't it? We cannot make messes in the cafeteria if we stay at bed. Or fort, in this case." Chuckling, he stood laying down for now, since Alice was still over him. |

Just don't eat stuff from the ground and you'll be good to go. I can try to teach you how to use a fork, but eating with your hands is not that bad, I guess..." Crouching down, he pulled the curtain aside and popped his head inside their fort, offering a hand to help Alice stand up. If Alice was ready to go. Thaslil would leave the area with her. |

Thaslil opened the door and entered along with Alice, finding their majestous fort just the way they left it. That made Thaslil smile as he talked to Alice. "Don't you think our fort looks much more majestous than that ridiculous tower? I mean, it's fluffy!" He laughed, trying to ease Alice's fears, but then decided to direct the conversation away from that thing. "Alright, what do you want to do now? It's still afternoon, so I guess you don't want to sleep again, right?" He raised an eyebrow at her, as if doubting she would want to do anything besides sleeping. |

While he was speaking Alice went to the bathroom, picked up her cleaned clothes and changed. Though she was still wearing Thaslil's shirt - she had her own clothes underneath. And alongside of those details Alice had her sword with her. "That tower. It is bad. It is really bad." She sounded worried, and scared. Yet there was something in her voice that she was almost ready to do something about it. She looked at Thaslil and then at their majestous fort. And a few passing moments later, she'd tug on Thaslil's sleeve and drag him with her inside that fort. In a few moments it would actually seem like that Alice was guarding Thaslil and not the other way around. |

He smirked at the sight, finding it quite cute. Her next words still sounded scared, and Thaslil was about to try and cheer her up, but there was also a small bit of courage in them too. He ultimately decided to be realistic, but still positive. "I guess so... However, I doubt it's something the Academy couldn't take down." He had seen some strong people through his stay here, like Drake and Adam, and they surely could stand against that thing. While he was lost in thought, Thaslil felt a tug on his shirt and noticed Alice besides him, trying to drag him back to the fort. He let himself be dragged, entering their 'fort' while Alice seemed to be determined to protect him. This scene made him laugh. "You're really quite impressive..." He smiled at the girl, thinking about how she was scared to death just moments ago, and even though she was still scared right now, a spark of courage could be seen on her eyes. |

Still she had to make sure that under no circumstances would Thaslil die before her. "I will protect you from dark things." Alice said, she was bit hesitant on her tone because of how Thaslil was treating this scene. "Aldbrit you'll protect him too?" She looked at Aldbrit hoping to see for some kind of confirmation for her concerns on keeping Thaslil as safe as possible. |

She'd take a pillow and rest her head on Thaslil's lap. "This way dark ones will not eat us." She sounded very assuring but her actions were kinda to opposite of this. Not to mention about the majestic fort of bedsheets. |

He felt a bit embarassed at first, not really knowing what to do in that situation, and did nothing at first. After some seconds, he shrugged all the thoughts going through his head away and started caressing Alice's head. "Yeah, I guess so... We'll be the ones to eat them, right? And with that we'll get stronger to protect each other and everyone else we care about..." He would probably be blushing slightly as he said this due to the situation, but he still tried to reassure her. |

He had no idea if Alice knew what a waiter was, but did the joke on a hunch. After a while, a thought crossed Thaslil's mind. "Hey, since you're staying at the at the Academy, you want to get a room of your own?" Since Alice was new there, it she wouldn't have a House or a room, so he decided he could help Alice register if she wanted to. |

A moment later she pushed herself up holding from Thaslil's shoulders smiling like a sun. "Do you.. REALLY mean that!?" Alice's voice had never ever been this loud. |

"Alright, I think this was your answer as to whether you want it or not. Quite an eccentric one, I should say, but I guess it doesn't matter. Yes, I mean it; you can stay." Alice seemed so happy that any shard of doubt immediately disappeared from his mind. |

"Roommate?" Her voice sounded puzzled. Like she had never ever heard the word before. "Ahh.. Why is it Roommate? Sounds like the room ate someone. Room-friend sounds better ~ I think... Or maybe room buddy..?" Alice let out a murmuring sound, she wasn't quite sure, if she was even making any sense right now or not. She was at least hoping that Thaslil wouldn't laugh at her. |

| Alice Doe Level: 1 Reconstitute Body: Charges 1 / 1 Alice's eyes suddenly turned soggy and she had trouble breathing, as she smiled so widely. Her face was covered in blush. But she slowly dared to get up, to watch at Thaslil. That smile slowly turned into a confusion of fear of rejection and uncertainty. U-u-u-m... a-a-are y-you.." She shook from nervousness like a leaf before exploding with a shout that was probably heard on every room on the dormitory: "ARE YOU MY FRIEND?" Immediately after spouting out that she buried her face as deep into Thaslil's chest as she could to hide. She wanted to flee further away but couldn't. Alice had never ever had any friends in her life. And Thaslil's suggestion had almost sounded like that. Instead she shook like a tiny hedgehog on top of Thaslil. |
| The entire building comically shuddered as everyone who actually did hear that all jumped in surprise. The force of a hundred feet hitting the ground at once shook the building slightly. But not to the point of it causing any discomfort. |

Her shout actually scared Thaslil, since he wasn't expecting that in the least. Her burst of happiness as she dug onto his chest, however, was a feeling he was kinda getting used to. Despite the confusion, he hugged her once again; a warmth he was also getting used to. "Of course I'm your friend! We share the same fort; how could we be something other than friends?" Thaslil smiled warmly at the girl in front of him, who was suddenly so happy for having a friend, as her happiness quickly spread onto him once again. He jumped slightly at the sudden shockwave, but quickly shrugged it off of his mind. Earthquakes wouldn't take down their fort. |

Alice kept trembling against Thaslil, she was still too excited so the earthquake would've been more or less gone unnoticed by the girl. She took her own time to calm down before opening her mouth: "It's just... I've never had a friend. Or.. Maybe I had one... That old man... But I am not sure, if he was... A friend. And the dark ones. Took him. Promise me that dark ones will not eat you. Never ever." Alice was still shivering a little but she seemed a lot better now. |

He heard the tiny shards of her story, and that made him a bit sad on the inside; he took care not to show it in his expression, though, holding the smile instead. "She has been through a lot... If living in a safe zone while surrounded by nice people is rough sometimes, I can really only imagine how bad it was for her back there...." His hug tightened as he replied Alice. "Don't worry, Alice, I won't die; I will stay alive so you'll never be alone again, alright? So you'll have a friend to rely on every time you need one..." |

His voice was calm and warm, but quickly changed back to his usual jolly tone. "So, what do you want to do now?" |

"The forest is definitely not safe, though... although not many places are actually safe nowadays. We could get you registered at the Academy; we could go to round two on tennis; we could try to hunt some Spawns; we could just stay here and chill... Your call, as a welcoming gift!" He'd smile warmly at Alice, letting her pick what they'd do. |

" Alice tilted her head and then she took a deep breath. And then she bit her lip. "... It is opposite direction from the forest but there is a downside. We'd have to camp out. I've never had problem camping in the wild but then again I don't draw them to me... Maybe it's not a good idea. It's something beautiful but it is way too far away from the city." She frowned. "Such of bad friend I am, I can't even think of things to share with you." |
