On her way back from the bin, she gave Lei the could shoulder, as in she happened to brush against him with the armored side of her body, which was indeed rather cold. "speak for yourself..." she muttered to the nosy boy.

The way she saw it, people should defend themselves. Defending another person, like Lei was doing by claiming smoke could harm other students, was a foolish course of action. Well, unless their only choice is to defend another, but that was unlikely to be the case. She had met plenty of people like Lei before. People who claim to be doing the word a service when they're selfishly speaking for themselves, and are just too damn proud to admit it. If his plea was something along the lines of "Hey. I don't like the smell of smoke. Could you do it somewhere else?" Ashe would feel obligated to agree with him. She sighed loudly and returned to sitting beside Ren."

To Lei, having her armour brush past him like that was the normal human equivalent of getting his arm slit open by a sword. Dropping his walking stick to the ground, he clenched his shoulder and very, very carefully leant back against a wall. The sheer speed and magnitude of the stimuli reaching his brain caused a slow moving run of blood to creep down his nose; though it was swiftly swept up.

Seeing her in passing did make him recall the girl's name though... kind of. Ash something or other. "Did you ever find ironic? Smoking that is. Given your name and all," he muttered to her, less than subtly revealing his knowledge, as he very slowly, and painfully, got down on one knee and picked it up on his third attempt.

"Whoa, what's this? You want me to move, and I want you to move. In a school housing some of the most fantastic, logic-defying powers in the world, I wonder how people solve problems like this here?" He asked sarcastically as he ran his thumb up his chin.

She sat there biding her time, twiddling her thumbs, doing nothing really aside from listening. She was a patient girl though.
Ashe didn't respond to Lei. In fact, she even didn't consider the he was talking to her. She never mentioned her name near him, so he was probably talking to Ren. Maybe it was some sort of inside joke. She did however notice how weak the boy seemed, almost like he had just got out of the hospital after being trampled by a powerful steed. She almost wanted to help him, but the fact was she didn't need to.

"Brilliant..." Lei whispered to himself in lieu of sighing as his eyes lethargically came to a halt on the cigarette hissing slightly against the material of the ground. He starred at it for a few more seconds before motioning towards it, such a feat did require some mental preparation. Resting his palm over the pummel of the stick, he slowly crouched down to pick it up, the stick rattling frantically in his shaking hand as he did.

In truth it wasn't even about the second-hand smoke, it was about the lack of respect he had for the school. Back home supernatural powered humans were scorned, beaten, even killed. When he looked out that infirmary window and saw the students talking, it was the first time in his life he saw supernatural beings acting like... real people. That ideal, this establishment, it was worth preserving its integrity.

His hand was shaking too much however, and the cane came loose from his hand, sending him falling to the ground. Biting back the pain, he cleaned up the mess with another tissue before trying to stand up, biting back the pain with every movement. The human equivalent of this would be something along the lines of falling four stories and death telling you 'sorry bud, you ain't dying yet'.

"Sir, do you need your suit? I am detecting an incredible surge in your heart rate," the black metal orb that had been following him said in a robotic, yet distinctly feminine tone, now hovering over his face.

"I don't need it," he replied, wiping away a stream of blood coming from his nose. It took four attempts to stand up, and the episode certainly took its toll on him, looking more like he needed to be checked into a morgue than a hospital given how pale his skin went.

Ren left, and Ashe decided there was no point in following. She learned about him, and gave him advice. There was no reason to feel at all obliged to puruse him further. Not to mention that was all out of the kindness of her heart, without any hope for incentive. A sense of superiority rippled through her.

Focusing her attention on the Lei, who was more shakey than a newborn calf, Ashe cocked her head and watched him get back on his feet, after what she assumed to be a fall. Of course she had enough vitality to offer him a hand or whatnot, but he seemed capable enough on his own. Maybe she was giving him too much credit...

More than concern, Ashe was just plain curious, though that's not to imply she derived any pleasure from watching him struggle. It was kind of like watching a monkey fall off a tree branch at the zoo. Even if she felt a strong desire to help, she had no place in doing so. When Ashe thought about it like that, she almost felt like she was an entirely different species from the boy.

He knew she was looking at him. They always looked at him when he was down. Maybe that was why he enjoyed being an assassin so much. It gave him the power to stand over someone and watch them try to cling to whatever life they had left; the euphoria of being a personal god in that moment tasted sweet, though addictive in nature.

The thought of wonder what manner of expression she would don as the light left her eyes lingered for far too long before he shook the idea from his head. "I'm not like that anymore" he thought to himself as he finished composing himself.

"Aren't you going to follow your friend? Or were you too busy enjoying the show?" He asked, though didn't look at her, instead choosing to gaze out of one of the large windows, only partly as an excuse to hide his pained expression from her.

Her ears perked at hearing his voice. He was obviously talking to her this time, unless he too had a habit of arguing with himself. "Er... a little bit of this crop, a little bit of that crop." Ashe tried not to over-commit to any response, leaving it open for interpretation. Ren was barely a friend, and it was strangely entertaining to watch Lei. Even so, she couldn't resist her innately good human nature. "You look pale. Are you hurt?" She didn't move from her sitting position, instead she tilted her head to the other side.

His understanding of her from the crop tangent was that she was simply perusing students so she would obviously have no incentive to follow him if that was indeed the case. Perhaps that inference came to him first on account of him doing the same.

Lei's eyes rolled upwards at his comment. "Every single time..." he muttered, arching his head upward and throwing his eyes to the ceiling. They always did this, watch him suffer then arbitrarily ask if he's alright. It was worse in her case, considering she caused the first instance of pain for him, but he couldn't hold that against her, she had no idea how he was after all.

What he could hold against her, however, was that final sting. "Are you hurt?"As if one had only just recalled that they fancied themselves a good person and needed to demonstrate that so they could pride themselves on it until they forget again. Perhaps, he concluded, he was overthinking the entire situation. It wouldn't be the first time.

"Hurt, me? From a little brush and tumble? 'course not," he lied with a smile, cleaning up his still bleeding nose with a tissue; which would explain why he had so many of them to begin with.

Ah, lovely. It seems Lei didn't want any assistance which made Ashe's role in all this much easier, like coming home only to find your sister already washed all the dishes. The though brought her a temporary feeling of nausea, which she quickly swallowed. "I should try again. Why are you hurt? Don't tell me this kryp-to-nite you mentioned earlier applies to you." With the niceties out of the way, Ashe was able to delve into the source of her curiosity.

Ashe was once again assure that she needn't act in assistance when she saw Fuyukawa come down the hall. Based on her attempt to remain inconspicuous, and also Lei's insistence on being independent, she came to the conclusion that the girl was probably trying to look out for Lei without him noticing.

The girl was as smooth as she was helpful. He wondered was one of the first things she asks people in wheelchairs how they came to be in that position also. Nevertheless, he would entertain this vile girl, if for no other reason than to pass time. "Let's see, my bones are like butter, my muscles are like cling film and... what else, oh yeah, I have enough neurons inside me to stretch from here to the moon. I'm not lucky enough to be able to blame it all on some glowing green rock. Actually, I have a question myself, if you will entertain me. Before you came here you used to do odd jobs. What I want to know, if you will, is have you ever had any problem with... oh... I don't know, assassins? It's just, that eye of yours, and the pink tattoo. It looks rather familiar you see" He asked as he approached, seating himself relatively close to herself. He was donning a wide smile as he said this, which for some unnerving reason made things very... weird.

She watched him walk towards her with apprehensive contemplations. She doubted he meant any harm, but Ashe always seems to find it thrilling when others approached her, or maybe it was simply fear. From the boy's hyperbolic speach devices, she assumed he thought highly of himself, either that or he hated himself with passion unmatched. Ashe was never all that good at reading zealous people. "Ah. No." She replied to him coldly, yet honestly. Assassins don't usually come after farm girls, not to her knowledge. "My tattoo? You're mistaken. I don't have any tattoos." it was only after she finished denying it that she remembered the tenderly burned flesh around her eye. How puzzling that it never healed properly. He was probably referring to that, but it was too late to go back on her word now. "I get that a lot though. Maybe I just have that kind of face." She masked herself with an uncharacteristic toothy grin and looked straight at Lei.

He didn't respond for quite some time, instead choosing to simply stare at her. Despite the fact that neither of them were in motion, there was an undeniable potency of potential in the air. The kind of energy that would only logically be followed by the unsheathing of a blade. The potential became nothing more however, instead dissipating beyond the wry smile that seemed so natural, yet disturbing in equal measure, to him.

"Maybe you do," he agreed, drawing back from her and slowly standing back up.

"Besides, the girl I'm referring to is something of a monster if you believe in such things. Word is she burned to death with her family, and yet somehow still walks this earth. And it's not like you've any burn marks to show off now do you?" He said, winking with his right eye, which corresponded with the eye of Ash's that was surrounded by the oddly charming scorch marks.

"Be seeing you, Ash," he added, only saying her name after his back was to her while he slowly left. A little parting gift from him to her.

(On account of not having thought through the fact that getting an erection would melt his dick off, Lei is now a female. A lot less.... messy that way)

After Lei left, Ashe slumped against the wall relaxing her composure. The inconspicuous girl had left too, meaning Ashe was all alone.

A monster? A monster, she(he?) said. Ashe already dismissed Lei as a presumptuous, pompous, ignorant, misinformed, and so on, fool. The fact that she even knew of Ashe was troublesome. Knowledge is power, and power leads to abuse, something Ashe was all too familiar with. She made a note to avoid this Lei person at all costs, and if that fails, she would simply reserve herself completely.

With a sigh, Ashe dragged herself to a standing position, and ran her fingers over the tender flesh surrounding her eye. Fire. Smoke. Ash. Darkness. Vision. Watchfulness. Revival. Ashe hated dwelling on her past. The person who lived that life was dead, and the person she was now had entirely different values.

Turning towards the large glass windows, Ashe took noticed of a grove of trees just preceding the horizon, and it almost felt like the trees were taking notice of her too, judging her existence. "I abide your laws. Let me have my freedoms." She whispered to the outstretched branches, before abandoning her defiance. "Fine. No more smoking."

Ashe bit her lip and left the hallway feeling defeated.

After leaving her dorm, she roamed around the vast hallways of the school. She slowly made her way down the halls, just taking in the layout of the building. She tried to memorize some places in case she would visit them in the future. She finished the lollipop in her mouth and threw the stick out in a garbage can that she passed by. After walking for a while, she stopped and just stared out the windows off the hall, just quietly observing everything happening outside.

Naomi had certainly seen better days. Holding a pair of heels in one hand and her hungover skull in her other, she slowly walked through the hallway smelling of a ungodly mixture of alcohol, marijuana and butt stuff. He continued walking through the hallways until he noticed a girl. From the looks of it she was a student and boy did she look like she just came out of a strip club. However Zero knows better than to judge people. From his appearance and comportement no one would expect him to be some kind of agent for a criminal syndicate. Anyways the talk was going to be long but this is what Zero was waiting for. He was getting bored after all.

He started walking towards her menacingly. Clearly showing some anger while not changing his face expression, since he always look somewhat angry. But thats okay. My mother used to say that the mark of a good life was dying without regret. Well... At this stage, the only way thatll happen is if I die while so drunk I can't even remember all the things that I regret. Now, is there anything else? This is pointless and will go nowhere she said, placing her heels down on the teacher's desk before leaning back and resting her toes against the corner of the desk facing her.

There's a lady who's sure
All that glitters is gold
And she's buying a stairway to heaven
When she gets there she knows
If the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for
Oh oh oh oh and she's buying a stairway to heaven

This girl was actually getting his interest. He taught about using her but his teacher instincts wanted him to help her. He let's out a sigh "Seems like you have no imbitions and knows exactly where you're going to end with this kind of behavior. Litsen, you're mother was right. Everyone is going to die and doing it without regrets is the best thing we can make out of it but with this lifestyle you're going to have alot of regrets once you die." he siad pausing a bit and looks at her, observing her once more seing some scars here and there and noticing just in what bad shape she was. Her eyes looked like she didn't have any sleep for a day or two. Her breath smelled so bad it almost ubearable. The smell of alcohol was overflowing from her mouth.

He redirects his eyes back to her eyes now "I have another question for you. Tell me exactly why you're doing what you're doing."

Eh, quicker I die, leas regrets I'll have. Why else would I come here? I was hoping the students would have gotten me by now. I guess I didn't lock up enough friends, parents, whoever people have in their life that makes it worth living she said, clenching her knuckles and focusing her attention on a passing swallow as she referenced her past work as a bounty hunter of supernatural beings.

Why am I doing what I'm doing? Maybe I want to die, maybe I just love fucking, or maybe, just maybe, it's both. Maybe the vices such as the drink, the drugs, the anal, maybe they're just useful tools of distraction that can keep me preoccupied until someone in this goddamn school grows a pair and shanks me she said as she began to clean herself up.

Her attempts to fix her sports bra was fruitless, snapping it's cord at her shoulder, the strap stung her lip as it fell down to her chest. Any fear of indecency would he swiftly quelled, as below that sports bra there was another, her upper chest now bulging outward with their newfound freedom. Donning a pair of sports bras like that, it'd be enough to make one wonder if this cognitive complexity was the only thing she was hiding close to her chest.

Throwing the broken bra into a bin beneath his desk, she then proceed to grab a stapler off his desk and staple her shirt closed in place of buttons. A few growing red dots in the white shirt revealed that maybe the shirt wasn't the only thing that got stapled; not that she seemed to motive or care.

"Living a short life is already something you will surely regret and please answer my question clearly. There's a specific reason as to why you are doing this. There's always a reason and i want to know it." he asked the question once more. He wanted her to really tell him why she did what she did altho he already had a vague idea as to why she was doing this.

He watched as she blushed a little and looked to her side before complimenting him. No one had ever really done that before, especially about his hair "a feature?" he said not understanding what she meant. She then asked to pet his hair, he thought it a little weird and wondered why she would want to. "it's just hair." he said not moving or anything giving her a chance to if she was brave enough.
