Plus I did say ''among the best'', not just ''best'', because I realise there other favourites. As for how Fairy Tail was once one of my favourite anime... I had it to look it up from my own profile to remember concisely. Basically I had it there as a representative of all those long running shounen I watched that got me into anime, and Fairy Tail was my favourite one. Obviously that wasn't enough, because I actually really really enjoyed it. Those reasons I gave were true for the time I had this in my favourites, but it just stopped being as good, the anime at least. It fell into all those long running shounen problems that plagues these shows. For example the relationship development basically slowed to a halt, some of the characters became particularly less likable, like Juvia, who became ]url=http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Flanderization]flanderized[/url] to the point where her portrayal actually somewhat upset me. Basically nowadays it's nowhere near my favourites. I suppose the one thing that One Piece has is permanency, it's been a manga since forever, well into the teenage years of the thirty years olds who are still reading it. I mean, it's got such a big audience because it's been going on so long. Actually I know that's not the only reason. It's popularity begot it more popularity. That's what's really special I think, that a manga or anime can remain a part of your life for over a decade, which for many is over half their lives. It becomes a constant in people's lives, and that's probably why it's treasured. |

| MKX... is a PS exclusive? ehhh... looking at the gameplay, i see a ton of resemblance to Injustice rather than MK9. New characters look interesting, I dislike use of environment. Block better be a button and not hold back... I know most 2D fighters use hold back, but MK has always used a button. Scorpion... has two constraint moves now? That Hellfire constraint better be blockable. Broken if it isn't, since Hellfire was a 9% unblockable in MK9. EX moves are back o/ Xrays are back o/ Fatalities look gruesome, excited to do them. I can't wait to play on the "Better Online" and wreck some casual button mashers. And then get a message of complete salt after the match. Apparently, learning how to play a game is nerdy. |
