While I can understand that point, you must remember that Honey and Clover is a Josei anime. Unless the girl he is trying to impress is older, of which I have no idea, then she might find it a little bland and drop anime altogether. I personally didn't begin to like Honey and Clover until episode 8, when they played that certain board game. However, I could be wrong about this whole thing and it could work. All in all, what I'm trying to say to OP is that you know the person you're trying to impress the best, and while suggestions from strangers might be helpful, make sure you research them a little before flat out risking the chance that she might not like it. |

Quote wars! Granted the age of the OP, and the themes presented in wandering son that are really aimed towards more mature, adult audiences it is probably safe to assume the woman is "older" or atleast old enough to potentially enjoy josei. |

"omg letz hav sex all day!!!11" We mean that this anime is meant for women in their twenties and you'd need a strong amount of anime experience to fully appreciate it if you don't fit that description. I would stick with Toradora if that's the case. |

Aha, you got a point there. Well played. However, you're missing the point, you come into a recommendation topic and completely recommend something that doesn't fit the person's request. You have an avatar of yourself giving a deathstare into the camera, like you're some sort of amazing tough guy. On top of that, your signature and your interests further prove that you're attempting to impress people. This piece of ownage has been brought to you by I mean, I've never seen someone who tries to give off an image of themselves more than you, while still failing at it. Edit: Also, I am in no way shape or form insecure about myself. If I were, would I really post so many ways for people to find me on a public profile? |

BringDownTheSun said: I don't get the translation, sorry. Yes, I made a blunder and contradicted myself, mistakes happen. That's not the only mistake you made either. And I find it funny that every single person that I've dealt with has admitted to making LOLful mistakes. BringDownTheSun said: But that still doesn't change the fact that you're attempting to be something that you're not. Where did I attempt to be something I'm not? On a more direct note, and just to make you feel even more stupid: On a more serious note: That picture of me staring into the camera is no different than other people using characters, celebrities, etc. that they think looks nice, interesting, or "cool". I simply put up a picture that I think looks nice as a profile picture/avatar, and it happens to be me. The fact it happens to be me all of a sudden makes it "me trying to act tough"? Plz.. rofl.. As for stuff like "interests" on my profile. It's not to impress anyone, obviously if you got that impression, it means you were psychologically effected by it due to your own insecurities, to the point that you made assumptions because your pride felt threatened =d. But really, they're just there for the sole purpose of hopefully attracting like-minded people. It would be nice to meet people with similar interests and ways of thinking after all, especially philosophically. So, in other words, you made something out to be completely different than what they were meant to be. Which proves my point: You have serious insecurity issues Virtual_BS said: So that's where my troll-mobile went. |

BringDownTheSun said: I'm going to restate myself from a previous reply: If I were insecure about myself, would I have posted so many ways for people to find me on a public profile? I'm quite happy with myself, thanks. Looks like you fail at fully comprehending the concept of insecurity then. Obviously what you want to show are things you aren't insecure about, derp derp. Insecurities are usually things people are unaware of themselves. Open a book, you might learn something. But things like making presumptuous ad hominem statements towards someone over the internet due to naive over-analyzations over someone's profile can be taken as pretty strong evidence of someone's insecurities. You have a long way to go and you come off very naive with every response. Precisely why you made a mistake earlier that even someone like you who seems to show a lack of self awareness can admit to. |
