Is the anime actually following along with the manga?

Do you guys think so? I know I shouldn't trust wikipedia, but do you guys think the anime is following along with the manga? Cause if you check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Highschool_of_the_Dead_chapters for Episode 8 it said "The Dead Way Home" when it was supposed to be "Alice In Dead Land". Just thinking...anyway / discuss

for the most part, yes...

it's going by a 1:1 ratio with 1 chapter per episode minus the recap on ep4

well after 7 episodes of actually going by the manga, I don't see how anything will change considering we only have 5 episodes left

It seems that the anime will bypass manga chapters and will show the storyline differently, it looks like they are going to skip a major portion of Saeko's development that happens at Takagi's home. Mainly her getting her new Katana and her affirming to Takagi's dad of her her loyalty towards Takashi.
It seems that chapter 9 will show what is supposed to happen after they all leave the the mansion, which I will be looking forward to seeing since it was the best part of the manga for me. I am a huge fan of Saeko x Takashi.
I am not sure how they can fit the rest of the storyline in the remaining episodes without omitting more chapters. And thus far there is no word of a second season, so they will skip more stuff.
This leads me to believe that the anime will have an original ending vs the manga, which unfortunately may not bode well for Saeko. Her character is strong and is the type of person that will sacrifice herself especially for Takashi, and I think she will. which means that that b*tch Rei will survive and end up with him.
I do hope that I am wrong about the last part.

I sure hope they do follow the manga. Otherwise, I don't know...I'd just totally be bummed out. But, I'm HOPING there will be a second season. Having a second season is something I wouldn't mind. Even if it took another year or 2 to finish it up.

Apparently, it doesn't look like it is...Episode 8 UIS "The Dead Way Home" when it should be "Alice in Dead Land". I wonder what's going to happen now...
